Starting on May 1, 2025, all instances running on major versions that have reached end of life (EOL) will be charged for extended support.\n\n\nExtended support pricing applies to Cloud SQL instances that are running major versions in\nextended support. Refer to the [Database version policies\ndocumentation](/sql/docs/db-versions) for the extended support timelines of Cloud SQL major versions.\n\n\nFor dedicated-core instances, extended support is priced per vCPU per hour and charged for every\nsecond that the instance is running. For shared-core instances, extended support is priced per\ninstance per hour and charged for every second that the instance is running. Extended support\nis charged in addition to regular instance pricing. For more details, see [Billing on partial\nseconds](/sql/pricing#billing-partial-seconds). Pricing depends on the region where your instance is located. Select your region in the dropdown on the pricing table.\n\nRead replicas are charged at the same rate as stand-alone instances.\n\n\nHA prices are applied for instances configured for high availability, also called regional\ninstances. [Learn more about high availability](/sql/docs/mysql/high-availability).\n| **Note:** Committed use discounts don't apply to extended support prices.\n\nIn the following table, select your region from the dropdown menu to see the price for that region.\nTo see how you can calculate your potential costs, please refer to this [pricing example](/sql/docs/sqlserver/pricing-examples).\n\n\nCloud SQL for SQL Server is composed of the following charges:\n\n- [CPU and memory pricing](#sql-cpu-mem-pricing)\n- [Storage and networking pricing](#sql-storage-networking-prices)\n- [Licensing](#sql-licensing)\n- [Cloud DNS pricing](#sql-dns-pricing)\n\nCPU and memory pricing\n----------------------\n\n\nFor dedicated-core instances, you choose the number of CPUs and the amount of memory you want,\nup to 96 CPUs and 624 GB of memory. For Cloud SQL Enterprise Plus edition instances,\nyou can choose from Performance-optimized machines (up to 128 CPUs and 864 GB of memory) and\nMemory-optimized machines (up to 16 CPUs and 512 GB of memory).\nPricing for CPUs and memory depends on the region where your instance is located. Select your\nregion in the dropdown on the pricing table.\n\nRead replicas and failover replicas are charged at the same rate as stand-alone instances.\n\n*HA* prices are applied for instances configured for high availability, also called regional\ninstances. [Learn more about high availability](/sql/docs/sqlserver/high-availability).\n\n\nCloud SQL also offers committed use discounts (CUDs) that provide deeply discounted prices\nin exchange for your commitment to continuously use database instances in a particular region for\na one- or three-year term. In the pricing tables on this page, the prices for CUDs are listed\nas commitments. For more information about these commitments, see\n[Committed use discounts](/sql/cud).\n\nIn the following tables:\n\n- Select your region from the dropdown menu to see the price for that region\n- Use the slider to choose **Monthly** or **Hourly** pricing\n- Compare pricing between per use, 1-year, and 3-year commitments\n\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n\n### Enterprise edition\n\nIf you pay in a currency other than USD, the prices listed in your currency on [Cloud Platform SKUs](https://cloud.google.com/skus/) apply.\n\n### Enterprise Plus edition - N2 machine series\n\nIf you pay in a currency other than USD, the prices listed in your currency on [Cloud Platform SKUs](https://cloud.google.com/skus/) apply.\n\n### Enterprise Plus edition - Memory optimized N2 machine series\n\nIf you pay in a currency other than USD, the prices listed in your currency on [Cloud Platform SKUs](https://cloud.google.com/skus/) apply.\n\nStorage and networking pricing\n------------------------------\n\nSQL server storage and networking prices depend on the region where the instance is located.\nSelect your region in the dropdown on the pricing table.\n\n*HA* prices are applied for instances configured for high availability, also called regional\ninstances. [Learn more about high availability](/sql/docs/sqlserver/high-availability).\n| **Note:** Committed use discounts do not apply to storage or network prices.\n\n\nIn the following table, select your region from the dropdown menu to see the price for that region.\nIf you pay in a currency other than USD, the prices listed in your currency on [Cloud Platform SKUs](https://cloud.google.com/skus/) apply.\n\n### Network Egress Pricing\n\nWhen network traffic leaves a Cloud SQL instance, the charge applied depends on the destination\nof the traffic, and in some cases, whether a partner is involved.\n\nInternet egress is network traffic leaving a Cloud SQL instance to a client that is not a\nGoogle product, such as using a local server to read data from Cloud SQL.\n\nIf you pay in a currency other than USD, the prices listed in your currency on [Cloud Platform SKUs](https://cloud.google.com/skus/) apply.\n\n### Licensing\n\n\nIn addition to instance and resource pricing, SQL Server also has a licensing component. High availability, or regional instances, will only incur the cost for a\nsingle license for the active resource.\n| **Note:** As a managed service, Cloud SQL does not support BYOL (Bring your own license).\n\n\nYou can learn more about instance creation and the various\neditions[here](/sql/docs/sqlserver/instance-settings).\n| **Note:** Committed Use Discounts do not apply to licenses.\n\n\nMicrosoft SQL Server licensing requires a core license to be assigned to each virtual CPU on your\ninstance, with a four core minimum for each instance. Instances with fewer than 4 vCPUs will be\ncharged for SQL Server at 4 times the license rate to comply with these requirements. For\ninstances with 4 or more vCPUs, you will be charged for the number of SQL Server licenses that is\nequal to the number of vCPUs.\n| **Important** : [SQL Server Web Edition](/sql/docs/sqlserver/create-instance#expandable-2) software can only be used to support public and internet-accessible pages, websites, and web services. You can't use SQL Server Web edition to support line of business applications such as Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Management, or other similar applications. For more information, see [Google Cloud Terms of Service for Microsoft Products](/terms/service-terms/microsoft).\n\nDisabling [simultaneous multithreading (SMT)](/sql/docs/sqlserver/create-instance#smt-create-instance)\nreduces the number of virtual CPUs (vCPUs) per core from 2 to 1,\nwhich in turn might reduce your SQL Server licensing costs.\nDisabling SMT doesn't change the compute engine price for SQL Server.\nYou are billed for the number of vCPUs defined in the SQL Server CPU configuration.\nThe following examples show how disabling SMT affects your billing:\n\nNote that despite disabling SMT, User3's SQL Server license fees are calculated for 4 vCPUs because SQL Server licensing requires a core license to be assigned to each virtual CPU on your instance, with a minimum of four cores for each instance.\n\n\nSQL Server instance licenses are charged a **1 minute minimum.** After 1 minute,\nSQL Server instance licenses are charged in **1 second increments**.\n\n### Cloud DNS pricing\n\nWith Cloud DNS pricing, the charge is per zone per month (regardless of whether you use your zone), and you also pay for queries against your zones. For more information, see [Cloud DNS pricing](/dns/pricing).\n\n\u003cbr /\u003e\n\nWhat's next\n-----------\n\n- Learn more about [Cloud SQL Enterprise Plus edition](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyVXBHvw0K4).\n- Refer to the [Pricing Overview documentation](/pricing).\n- Visit the [pricing examples page](/sql/docs/sqlserver/pricing-examples) to see how you can calculate your potential costs.\n- Try the [Pricing Calculator](/products/calculator).\n- Learn more about [instance settings](/sql/docs/sqlserver/instance-settings).\n- Learn more about the [high availability configuration](/sql/docs/sqlserver/high-availability).\n\n#### Request a custom quote\n\nWith Google Cloud's pay-as-you-go pricing, you only pay for the services you use.
