Deactivating or disabling user accounts
There may be times when you need to prevent a user account from accessing the
integrated portal, either temporarily or permanently. In this case, the status
for the user account is listed in the Users list and the portal
user cannot sign in.
To deactivate or disable a user account from the User details page:

The app developer record is associated with the user using the developer's email address. Display the list of portals:\n\n Cloud Console UI\n\n In the Apigee in Cloud console, go to the **Distribution \\\u003e Portals** page.\n\n [Go to Portals](https://console.cloud.google.com/apigee/portals)\n\n Classic UI\n\n Select **Publish \\\u003e Portals** in the side navigation bar to display the list of portals.\n2. Click the row of the portal for which you want to view users.\n\n3. Click **Accounts**.\n\n4. Click **Save**.\n\nDeleting user accounts\n\nYou can delete a user account that is no longer needed.\n| When you delete a user account:\n|\n| - All apps and API keys owned by the portal user will be deleted.\n| - If you have [enrolled in the Preview release of the teams feature](/apigee/docs/api-platform/publish/portal/developer-teams#enroll), then all teams and team apps for which the portal user is the only owner are deleted.\n| - The user account information that is stored on Apigee on the [Developers page](/apigee/docs/api-platform/publish/adding-developers-your-api-product#ui) **will not be deleted** when you delete a user account in the developer program.\n\nTo delete a user account:\n\n1. [Access the Users page](#explore-ui).\n2. Delete the user account.\n\n Cloud Console UI\n\n For the user account that you want to delete, click\n delete **Delete**.\n\n Classic UI\n 1.
