Get started in the Google Cloud console

This topic covers the prerequisite steps for provisioning an Apigee Subscription organization using the Google Cloud console.

1. Make sure you have completed the steps described in Prerequisites.
2. In the Google Cloud console, select or create a Google Cloud project.
   Note: If you don't plan to keep the resources that you create in this procedure, create a project instead of selecting an existing project. After you finish these steps, you can delete the project, removing all resources associated with the project.
   Note: If you are an existing Apigee paid subscription customer with an existing Apigee organization provisioned in a Google Cloud project, and you want to create an org in a new Google Cloud project, contact Apigee sales to enable your subscription entitlement to enable Apigee for the new project.

3. Ensure that billing is enabled for your Cloud project. Learn how to check if billing is enabled on a project.
4. Go to the Welcome to Apigee API management landing page.

5. You are prompted with the following options:
   • Set up with defaults: Automatically creates Google-managed resources for your project. For instructions, see Provision Apigee with one click.
     Note: This option is disabled if your project has a CMEK organization policy constraint.
   • Customize your setup: Specify the resources for your project. For instructions, see Step 1: Enable required APIs.
     Note: This option is required if your project has a CMEK organization policy constraint.
