uServers, a pioneer technology company in Mexico, began its journey to the cloud with Google Cloud, aiming to provide quality services to its thousands of users. In 2014, the organization started off a digital transformation process, leaving behind its physical servers and achieving a robust, secure cloud infrastructure.
However, in order to bring about a real change in the company culture, uServers began by analyzing the products available in the market and testing the tools that best fit its needs at the time. A key factor in choosing the most adequate solutions was considering the flexibility the company needed to migrate from physical to virtual servers with no data loss.

First steps
The Mexican firm went through different phases, from early implementation challenges to the creation of new services and projects under development.
In this sense, one of the main advantages experienced by the company during the migration has been the possibility of offering its customers an elastic platform that can adapt to each user’s needs. This greatly strengthened user loyalty, since the delivery of high-performance and highly secure services led to an increased use of the platform, which in turn increased data processing and storage, as well as site traffic.
This also improved the company’s positioning among its competitors.
A journey of constant growth
Aiming to cater to its users’ new needs and attract prospects, the company is adding more Google Cloud tools every year.
Currently, the firm is going through a modernization process with solutions such as Dataflow, AI Platform, and BigQuery, among others.
uServers takes one step further in three key aspects of service development: flexibility to scale on demand, the possibility of delegating tasks in the system and spending time on new developments, and the capability to handle large traffic volumes without losing connectivity.
In this sense, uServers is capable of processing around 20–25 TB of emails per month. The data pipeline that analyzes incoming emails performs 1,500 operations per second in the internal APIs as the messages go through each phase. During peak hours, this number increases to just over 10,000 operations per second.

—Adolfo García Veytia, Head of Research and Development, uServersAnother benefit of uServers’ robust cloud architecture is the ability to make substantial changes to the company’s finance: it reduced the time spent on tasks performed by teams, increased efficiency and productivity, cut costs and calculated investments, thanks to the predictable costs of Google Cloud products.
The company is also improving security by backing up around 30 TB of user data, thanks to the incorporation of Cloud SQL, Filestore, Datastore, and BigQuery. Cloud Functions enables the organization to operate the telephone switchboard service efficiently, as well as to generate security certificates and provide quick answers for email self-configuration requests from users.
