Transfer Appliance pricing
This document explains Transfer Appliance pricing details.
Pricing for Transfer Appliance includes the following items:
You pay a base fee for Transfer Appliance, which includes a certain number of free days of onsite usage.
Only weekdays count towards usage. The usage period starts the day after you receive Transfer Appliance. The usage period ends the day before you have Transfer Appliance picked up for return shipment.
If you keep the appliance for longer than the allotted free days, you incur a per-day use fee.
You pay the associated monthly storage and operations costs for the data in your bucket. For more information, see Cloud Storage Pricing.
You will incur operations costs, specifically Class A and Class B request charges
- Associated with the creation of objects in your destination for data ingestion.
- Or retrieval of objects from your source bucket for data export.
Transfer Service incur the standard Storage Transfer Service pricing of $0.0125 per GB of data that is successfully ingested to the Cloud Storage bucket.
- Transfer Service fees aren't incurred on data ingested by physically shipping the appliance to Google.

Pricing examples
For a 40 TB Transfer Appliance that you keep 2 weekdays beyond the allotted usage period and that runs $200 in total shipping costs, you pay $560.
For a 300 TB Transfer Appliance that you return during the allotted usage period and that runs $300 in total shipping costs, you pay $2100.
