Signing in to the mobile application

If mobile application access is enabled for your instance and you have installed the app on your mobile device, you can sign in to the app with email or by scanning a QR code.

The first time you sign in to the app, an onboarding screen is displayed. Select Next, or swipe left on each onboarding screen, and then select Let's go! on the final screen. You can also select Skip to navigate directly to the Recently Viewed screen.

The Looker mobile application only supports email and password sign-in. To sign in with Google OAuth, SAML, LDAP, or OpenID Connect, install the Looker Studio mobile application.

If you are using the Looker Studio mobile application, you can sign in using the same authentication method as your Looker instance by following these steps:

  4. The mobile application will direct you to sign in using your Google Auth, SAML, LDAP, or OpenID Connect credentials.

When you sign in to the Looker Studio app for the first time, the app displays the Authorization Request screen. To confirm that you want to authorize the app to access data through your Looker account, select Approve.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to sign in, ensure that the Looker mobile app is enabled for your instance.

QR codes are valid for five minutes after they are generated. If you are unable to sign in to the app with a QR code because your QR code has expired, repeat these steps:

  1. Refresh the Mobile App Login page in the Looker web app.
  2. Select Try again in the mobile application.
  3. Point your camera at the QR code on your computer to scan the newly generated QR code.
