Fast Track is an Argentine company with 20 years of experience offering logistics, storage, and distribution solutions both in Argentina and abroad. Its mission is to work consistently in applying IT developments, artificial intelligence, and a sustainable culture to give customers a differentiated and customized service.
The company has 350 employees. With warehouses in Argentina, the US, and China, it provides customers with logistics and international courier services with strong added value. Since its inception, the company has focused on innovation, teamwork, custom services, flexibility, and continuous improvement.
Toward better communication and management
As tasks have become increasingly digitized, Fast Track needed a more collaborative, secure, and intuitive environment for business communications. Its legacy provider could not meet these new requirements and prevented the organization from growing.
Another challenge was the need to improve email and calendar management for executives and staff, as well as to simplify the booking of meeting rooms.
"Truth is our departments were isolated. We had no shareable calendars or tools to arrange meetings. Without these basic, everyday features, there were complications and inefficiencies," says Eduardo Dimeglio, IT Manager at Fast Track.
The company also needed to have reliable email and file backups stored in locations other than the employees' own work devices, and to efficiently organize documentation sent by and to its customers.
Given this scenario, Fast Track began looking for corporate communication solutions for emails, calendars, and account management.

Fast Track began implementing Google Workspace in its environment in December 2021. In just three months, the company had already migrated 70% of its production environment.
The organization was exceptionally supported along the way by partner Meriti, which helped Fast Track perform a centralized migration of all users' emails easily and efficiently.

After adopting Google Workspace solutions, Fast Track experienced significant security and data access improvements: daily communications became more efficient and teams more independent. "One of the initial benefits was organization. Thanks to Calendar, there are no more questions about when meetings can happen. It was a cultural issue we had to learn," said Eduardo Dimeglio.
The easy, fast, and secure migration of data to the cloud resulted in lower licensing and hardware upgrade costs, as teams now only need Internet access for effective communication across the company.
The possibility of sharing a single link, instead of sending files and deleting different versions of a document, really made a difference to the way employees work and collaborate within the company. And these features were not feasible when using legacy office automation tools.
Everyone at Fast Track now knows that data and applications are no longer hardware-dependent and are instead backed by the cloud, making it easy to access and retrieve information whenever it is needed.
Google Workspace tools also offer flexibility for employees to use them on their mobile devices. As most of them were already familiar with the basic features of personal Gmail accounts, extrapolating this to the workplace was a seamless process.
Before the migration, all employees were using a desktop device and now they can log in from any device without any risk of data loss or complex licensing issues.
The migration has enabled common users to start setting up their own intranets, which makes the company better organized and helps shift the focus to how to improve quality management systems and other areas.

The results achieved after adopting Google Workspace have encouraged Fast Track to consider using other Google Workspace tools and services, as well as Google Cloud technologies, for example Looker Studio and AppSheet.
The company has high expectations of AppSheet as it serves as a seamless communication link between the company and its employees. Besides centralizing information currently shared through several channels, these integration processes can prompt employees to give feedback, in a shift from the one-way intranet to a two-way model.
