Professional Cloud Developer

A Professional Cloud Developer builds and configures scalable, secure applications by using Google-recommended tools and best practices. They are proficient in the full development lifecycle, from architecting cloud-native applications to integrating advanced machine learning capabilities. They are also responsible for utilizing generative AI APIs to create intelligent user experiences. Additionally, they leverage AI-powered development tools—such as AI coding assistants, context engineering, and automated debugging agents—to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

The Professional Cloud Developer exam assesses your ability to:

  • Design highly scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native applications
  • Build and test applications
  • Configure cloud-native applications for deployment
  • Integrate applications with Google Cloud services

About this certification exam

Length: Two hours

Registration fee: $200 (plus tax where applicable)

Languages: English and Japanese

Exam format: 50-60 multiple choice and multiple select questions

Exam delivery method:

     a. Take the online-proctored exam from a remote location

     b. Take the onsite-proctored exam at a testing center - search for Google Cloud.

Prerequisites: None

Recommended experience: 3+ years of industry experience including 1+ years designing and managing solutions using Google Cloud.
