100% tool adoption rate

Enjoei, a used product marketplace platform focused on fashion and lifestyle, has always fostered an online working culture. Despite having offices in Barueri and a distribution center in Cabreúva, two cities in the state of São Paulo, most of the company’s 320 employees work remotely.

To make that possible, Enjoei has been supported by Google Workspace since it began operating in 2009. As a result, the company has further strengthened the collaborative links between its teams, since it encourages employees to use tools integrated in a single environment.

“We’ve had remote teams since we launched and going to the office was never mandatory, even though a sizable part of our team works in a physical environment. Enjoei adopts a pro-remote work stance, an approach its employees both understand and embrace,” explains Carlos Eduardo Brando, Enjoei’s CTO.

As Enjoei’s employees quickly adapted to the tools, which can be applied in a wide array of professional contexts, Google Workspace has been a major ally in the employees’ daily routines for over a decade. This was one of the perceived benefits shortly after adoption began, when the team had not yet decided on which solution to use.

The tools were deployed quickly, in under 30 days. It was an agile process and, as their users already knew Gmail, they were also able to easily master the platform’s other features. After receiving domain configurations and tips from Google experts for collaborative activities, users learned how to use the solution fluidly.

Cloud native environment: advantages on several fronts

The company currently has 341 users in Google Workspace and a 100% adoption rate, with 4 TB of data contained on the platform, including files and emails. The most widely used products include Gmail, Drive, Google Meet, Calendar and Classroom.

The solution allowed the company to anticipate the incorporation of 100% remote operations to observe social distancing guidelines recommended to fight COVID-19. Instead of taking time to adapt teams to this new setup, Enjoei did the opposite, acting fast, which has even helped increase team productivity.

“Google Workspace provides an environment where everyone can work together, innovate, and share ideas, and that improves employee performance significantly,” says the company’s Head of Infrastructure.

The company still uses Meet instead of meeting in person as part of its daily routine. Thanks to that tool, they can host a monthly results meeting with over 300 people from different locations. It was such a positive experience that even happy hours, local celebrations, and other online events began to be hosted virtually.

Besides encouraging remote work, adopting Meet provided Enjoei with yet another major benefit—cost savings with commuting and in-person meetings and less time needed for those occasions.

Security and access management

Another highlight for the company is the level of security it achieved through tool interconnection. By concentrating all the data in a single environment, it can control and manage security for general purposes.

Google Workspace is even used for identity and access management (IAM) in other solutions adopted by the company, which are integrated using the SAML authentication standard.

As employees have become so acquainted with the platform, no other tools have been installed on their machines because they are not needed for internal tasks. The high knowledge level of Google Workspace’s tools has led Enjoei to keep it as its primary means of internal collaboration with no plans for this to change in the foreseeable future.
