Ensures compliance with legal requirements
Analitica is a Colombian business software development company providing a digital transformation platform to support business process automation, document management, and the use of artificial intelligence.
Founded in 2002, this 100-employee company has a wide variety of customers, including private and public businesses in Colombia and Central America that require digital services for their users.
Over the years, document dematerialization, that is the digitization of paper documents, has become a strategic aspect of Analitica's business, which gained momentum with the pandemic. Today, its software supports document query and beyond: it is now a key asset in all entities using its process automation technology.
"We've been working with Google Cloud for over 10 years. We were one of the first companies in Colombia to develop cloud solutions, which helped us grow and provide great service quality in the web applications we offer our customers."
—Nelson Bendeck, Cofounder and Business Manager, AnaliticaTowards a paperless world
Before the pandemic, procedures involving government entities were still a combination of digital and paper-based processes. In 2020, with the disruption of face-to-face work, both the execution of contracts and business continuity were impaired. Many companies started to use scanned contract signatures to maintain their businesses and commercial relationships; however, this did not suffice to guarantee document validity.
In this scenario, ensuring the validity of contract signatures and verifying the identity of signatories to avoid legal issues were among Analitica's key challenges. The electronic signature then became the company's horizon.
As, up until that point, the organization had been using third-party software that did not comply with the regulations in all the countries where it was present, developing its own electronic signature software, endorsed by each country's certifying entities, became a unique opportunity.
Solutions with an innovation signature
In October 2020, Analitica, supported by Google Cloud, launched the AZSign e-signature system to help companies complete virtual transactions related to a variety of documents, such as contracts, notices, informed consents, electronic IOUs, and insurance policies, fully backed by official certifying entities.
The development of AZSign, which was both quick and simple given the company's previous experience with the cloud, was based on different Google Cloud services.
The infrastructure provided by Compute Engine and Cloud Load Balancing ensured high availability and performance levels. With Cloud Storage, the company implemented a data warehouse to store closed deals, while Looker Studio allowed teams to view data through custom reports and dashboards.
In terms of security, to ensure a service like AZSign, which involves data privacy issues, is protected, the company adopted Google Cloud Armor, Cloud DNS and Cloud IDS. As a result, it has been able to avoid all the cyberattacks and ransomware threats that have spread across data centers in Colombia and other countries in the region.
The integration between AZSign and Google Workspace also helped teams launch e-signature procedures directly from office applications, speeding up document creation and signing processes.
"Google Cloud is the perfect partner for AZSign, as it allows us to optimize the use of resources, speed up processes, obtain monitoring metrics of procedures requiring signatures, and provide our users with the best electronic signature service."
—Nelson Bendeck, Cofounder and Business Manager, AnaliticaA technology partnership with great results
Since AZSign was launched in 2020, Analitica has seen a gradual increase in the use of its service. Today, its platform supports one million e-signature processes per year, mainly related to the public sector, and also to banking, insurance, real estate, health, and education industries.
Consequently, the company became one of the top three e-signature businesses in Colombia in only a couple of years, with over 100,000 customers using its software based on Google Cloud with a user-friendly and easy-to-use interface offering a better user experience.
Business results were also outstanding. Implementing AZSign reduced the time to complete document signing procedures by more than 50%. In addition, costs related to paperwork and document storage in the cloud were cut by over 85%.
Today, thanks to business process optimization led by implementing automated signature workflows and templates, the electronic signature service represents 40% of Analitica's profits.
"At Analitica, we have relied on Google Cloud solutions as the ideal platform to deliver our digital transformation services to businesses and government institutions across Latin America. We are truly grateful for the quality of the products and the support we have received in our 20-year history."
—Nelson Bendeck, Cofounder and Business Manager, AnaliticaFurther leveraging of the cloud
For the future, Analitica's goal is to continue expanding the use of Google Cloud technologies, including Vertex AI, with the aim of optimizing products and improving smart replies provided to customers.
The company is also considering launching online backup products based on Google Cloud storage solutions, as well as incorporating artificial intelligence tools to simplify document search within its platforms.
Today and tomorrow, Analitica's journey with Google Cloud is key to its ability to continue delivering lightweight, practical, secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions that help optimize its customers' business processes.
