Assured Workloads pricing
This page explains Assured Workloads pricing details.
Assured Workloads offers a Free service tier and a Premium service tier. These tiers are based on the control package you've chosen for your Assured Workloads folder. See the Free tier and Premium tier sections for more information.
Only the Premium service tier incurs additional charges. These charges range from 5% to 20% on all Google Cloud service usage expenditure within that folder. These charges appear in your bill under the Assured Workloads SKU, which is a separate line item from other Google Cloud resources charges. See the Folder-based pricing and example section for more information, and the Premium tier section below to see the additional charges for each control package.

Folder-based pricing calculation and example
Assured Workloads pricing is calculated based on the billable Google Cloud usage running within the Assured Workloads folder. To calculate the amount you pay for Assured Workloads, add up the total Google Cloud services expenditure within the folder and multiply that number by 20% for Premium tier control packages.
For example, assume that you have previously configured the following two Assured Workloads folders:
- One FedRAMP Moderate folder (Free tier) with a monthly service expenditure of $500 across Compute Engine and BigQuery.
- One IL4 folder (Premium tier) with a monthly service spend of $1,500 across Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
Based on the preceding Google Cloud usage and expenditure, the monthly charge for Assured Workloads usage would be calculated as follows:
- FedRAMP Moderate folder (Free tier): $0
- IL4 folder (Premium tier): $1,500 x 20% = $300
- Total cost for the month: $300
