Productivity boosted in all company areas
Based in Bolivia, Ultra is a startup that began operating in the real estate market in 2016. Later, it expanded to other industries and became a pioneer in the digitalization of businesses targeted at mass audiences.
The company currently has three business units: UltraCasas.com, a leading real estate portal in Bolivia; UltraCreditos, a fintech leveraging proprietary technology to process credit applications as FaaS (Fintech as a Service); and Ultra.bo, focused on selling electronic devices with bank-provided financing, operating fully online.
Ultra’s USP has always been to offer top-level user experience, combined with the use of disruptive and innovative IT solutions to overcome its business challenges.
Leaving manual tasks behind
With the aim of continuing its growth, both in Bolivia and abroad, and in a complex economic scenario, the company was looking for options to migrate all its operations to the cloud, including end user services and internal processes.
The goal was clear: Ultra needed to work in a secure and cost-efficient manner, optimizing productivity and gaining the necessary flexibility to grow.
After using a collaboration solution that did not meet its expectations, the organization decided to move forward with its IT partner Greencloud towards deploying Google Workspace.
A full transition to the cloud
After exploring the power of Google Workspace, Ultra decided to kick off its migration process, which started in 2018 and took just two weeks.
As all company employees already had some experience through the use of their personal Gmail and Drive accounts, adopting the platform went quite smoothly.
Thanks to Drive, document management and classification has been streamlined. The possibility of several users collaborating simultaneously, as well as all the backup and change and access tracking features, have now made daily routines easier for employees.
Moreover, Gmail enabled the company to lower the number of documents sent on email. Now, employees work in cloud-based tools such as Sheets and Docs.

Ultra has also benefited from integrating Google Cloud’s Looker Studio with its own databases and spreadsheets, and also with Google Analytics. Thanks to faster and more accurate reporting in the cloud, the company can make better decisions and process high data volumes with a level of agility unthinkable before the migration.
Towards more efficient collaboration
The main impact from the migration relates to higher productivity and agility in all Ultra departments, which directly influences the full management cycle of various business components.
Today, all company employees use Gmail to exchange emails, thus saving time on the delivery of documents. And 75% of them leverage Drive to handle and organize these documents.
In Ultra, the cloud has become the main storage media for its data, replacing physical units.
