Last modified: September 18, 2023

Below are the Exam Terms and Conditions that are presented to all candidates during the exam registration process. During registration, candidates will click to accept all Exam Terms and Conditions.

No Shows, Cancellation, and Reschedule Policy

    - If you do not show up for your exam, your exam fee is forfeited and you will not receive a refund.

   - Fees may be charged for late rescheduling or late cancellation, and may vary depending on the Google partner administering the exam (each an “Exam Partner”). Details of such fees will be provided when you register for a Google certification exam with an Exam Partner.

Retake Policy

    - The Retake Policy varies by exam:

          - Cloud Digital Leader certification exam: You have a maximum of ten attempts within a one year period and must wait at least 14 days between each failed attempt.

         - Associate and Professional certification exams: You have a maximum of four attempts in a two year period. If you don't pass the exam, you can take it again after 14 days. If you don't pass the second time, you must wait 60 days before you can take it a third time. If you don't pass the third time, you must wait 365 days before taking it a fourth time.

    - You may attempt the exam in multiple languages, but each attempt regardless of language counts toward the total permissible attempts and the waiting period between attempts still applies.

    - Payment is required each time you take an exam.

    - Attempting to circumvent this Retake Policy by registering under a different name or any other means is prohibited and will result in a denied or revoked certification.

Exam Content Update Policy - See Section 1.e of the Exam Terms and Conditions

Exam Terms and Conditions

PLEASE REVIEW THESE TERMS CAREFULLY AS THEY ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE, AND MAY HAVE CHANGED RECENTLY.

These Exam Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern participation in the Google Cloud Certification Program (the “Program”) and are entered into between the individual agreeing to these terms ("you") and Google, LLC (or the Google entity referenced in the applicable Order Form, if any)(“Google” or “we”), organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and operating under the laws of the USA, with its primary offices at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043. The Terms are effective as of the date you click to acknowledge and agree to them below. If you do not agree to the Terms, you may not participate in the Program.

1. Program Description. The Program assesses individuals to determine whether they meet Google Cloud’s proficiency standards in technical skills related to Google Cloud.

    a. As part of the Program, you will take a certification assessment (an "Exam") to demonstrate your knowledge and skill in the content area assessed by the Exam.

    b. Google Exam Policies. To participate in the Program, you must comply with all policies applicable to the Program and made available to you by Google (“Google Program Policies”), including the Retake Policy. The Google Program Policies may change from time to time. It is your responsibility to review the Google Program Policies before you take an Exam.

If you pass the Cloud Digital Leader and Associate Cloud Engineer certifications, you will extend your certification’s validity for three years from the certification date of issue. The Professional Cloud Certification will be valid for two years from the date of issue. For purposes of the Program, this paragraph is the “Recertification Policy.”
