- 200+ Google Compute Engine VMs and three Google GKE (k8s clusters), forming the backbone of their blockchain services,
- Substantial cost reduction with 30%,
- Over 100,000 gigabytes per month of Balanced PD Capacity, ensuring robust data handling capabilities,
- Their tech stack, including a JavaScript application environment, self-managed MongoDB on Google Compute Engine VMs, Kafka, and blockchain nodes essential for our operations,
- A comprehensive suite of DevOps and monitoring tools like Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Terraform, Crossplane, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Goldilocks, Kiali, and MongoDB Ops Manager, vital for Global Infra Tech's continuous integration, deployment, and operational excellence.

With careful planning and execution, the migration to Google Cloud was completed with no downtime, demonstrating the steadfast dedication to Global Infra Tech's clients, who rely on them to securely and effectively manage and transact digital assets. The result was an infrastructure that was more optimized, scalable, and extremely cost-effective—ready to handle both the growing demands of the blockchain ecosystem and Global Infra Tech's aspirational expansion ambitions.
As part of this process, the team leveraged Google Cloud's Migration Center, particularly for the built-in discovery, assessment, and TCO reporting capabilities. While utilizing these TCO reports, one of Migration Center's recommendations was the use of balanced persistent disks. And ultimately, the use of Balanced Persistent Disks has been one of the most striking examples of cost optimization that the company has managed to achieve since its strategic migration to Google Cloud.
Before the migration, their applications required Direct SSD Attached Storage in the previous cloud environment, a necessity that came with a significantly higher price tag. By transitioning to Google Cloud and utilizing their Balanced Persistent Disks, Global Infra Tech was able to maintain the demanding performance and reliability that their applications demand, but at a significantly reduced cost.
