Cloud Digital Leader
A Cloud Digital Leader can articulate the capabilities of Google Cloud core products and services and how they benefit organizations. They can also describe common business use cases and how cloud solutions support an enterprise.
This certification is for anyone who wishes to demonstrate their knowledge of cloud computing basics and how Google Cloud products and services can be used to achieve an organization’s goals.
The Cloud Digital Leader exam assesses your knowledge in these areas:
- Digital transformation with Google Cloud
- Exploring data transformation with Google Cloud
- Innovating with Google Cloud artificial intelligence
- Modernizing infrastructure and applications with Google Cloud
- Trust and security with Google Cloud
- Scaling with Google Cloud operations
About the standard and renewal certification exams
If this is your first time getting certified, or your certification has expired, you must take the standard exam or the beta exam.
If you are renewing your certification, you can choose to take the beta exam, the shorter renewal exam, or the standard exam starting 180 days before your expiration date. Once you have chosen your preferred exam path, you will stay in that path until you pass or your certification expires.

Length: 90 minutes

- If you took the training on or after June 8, refer to the new exam guide (registration opens on August 12).

Exam format: 20 multiple choice questions
Exam Delivery Method: Online-proctored or onsite-proctored
Validity period: 3 years
Eligibility: Candidates must have an active certification and be within the renewal eligibility period.
Preparing for your exam
Step 1. Understand what's on the exam
The exam guide contains a list of topics that may be covered on the exam. For the current exam that is available through August 11, please use this current exam guide. For the updated version of the exam that launches on August 12, please use the new exam guide.
Step 2. Expand your knowledge with training
Prepare for either exam by following the Cloud Digital
Leader learning path. Explore online training and
other resources from Google Cloud.
Step 3. Prepare with sample questions
The Cloud Digital Leader sample questions will
familiarize you with the format of exam questions and
example content that may be covered on both of the exams. The sample questions do not represent the range of
topics or level of difficulty of questions presented on
the exam. Performance on the sample questions should not
be used to predict your Cloud Digital Leader exam
result. There is no limit to the number of times you can
complete the sample questions. The sample questions are not timed. If you close the sample questions while in progress,
your work won't be saved and you will have to start from
the beginning. The sample questions are currently available in English
only.
Step 4. Schedule an exam
Decide whether to take the exam remotely (see online testing requirements) or at a test center (locate a test center near you - search for Google Cloud).
