Bulk actions and filters in playbooks

Bulk actions allows you to perform various actions on multiple playbooks and playbook plocks simultaneously, thereby increasing your work productivity. 

The following actions are available at the top left of the Playbooks page.

From right to left:

  • Add New Playbook or Block: Here you can choose which folder and which environment the playbook or playbook block belongs to.
  • Edit: Lets you select single or multiple playbooks and blocks for use with the action menu.
  • Open Filter: Clicking on Open Filter opens the Playbooks Filters dialog where you can choose to filter the display based on: 
    • Playbook simulator is on/off
    • Active/Inactive Playbooks – also referred to as Enabled/Disabled
    • Priority Level
    • Environments (multi-select option)
  • Menu: Before clicking on the menu, make sure to click the Edit icon and select the required playbooks or playbook blocks. Clicking on the menu icon opens up the following actions:
    • New Folder : Adds new folder. To edit the folder name, you need to click the Edit icon, put your mouse on New Folder, click, type the new name, and then click . 
    • Duplicate : Click to create a duplicate playbook with the following options:
      • Keep or Change Priority – you have the option to keep the original priority value to change to a different one
      • Keep in same folder or move to a different folder
      • Choose environments it belongs to. Options include single or multiple environments or all environments where "all" means all defined environments as well as environments that will be defined in the future.
    • Change priority: Click to change priority.
    • Export/Import : Useful for sending both playbooks and playbook blocks from staging to production server and the other way around. Playbooks will be exported with views. The system only recognizes zip files for import. 
    • Move To: Can move playbooks and playbook blocks to another folder or even create a new folder from this option.
    • Delete: Delete playbooks or Playbook blocks.
  • Show All: Can view either playbooks or playbook blocks or both of them in the queue.
