Distribuir imagens do Oracle no Google Distributed Cloud com isolamento físico

O Database Service para Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) isolado por ar pode gerenciar bancos de dados Oracle, mas o software ou as licenças da Oracle não são distribuídos com o serviço. Como usuário, é sua responsabilidade garantir que você tenha uma licença para usar o software da Oracle. Você também precisa fornecer e fazer upload do software para uso com o serviço.

Verificar as versões do Oracle Database compatíveis com o serviço de banco de dados

Antes de continuar, use o comando a seguir para verificar quais versões de banco de dados o serviço de banco de dados oferece suporte. Execute este comando no cluster da organização administradora:

Essa saída significa que o Database Service aceita a criação de novos clusters de banco de dados com imagens do Oracle Database com versão principal 19, versão secundária 10.0.0.0 e edição Enterprise.

Baixar binários do Oracle

Faça o download dos binários da Oracle no site da empresa. Você precisa de uma licença válida da Oracle para fazer isso. Há três softwares para baixar do site da Oracle:

  • O binário do Oracle Database.
  • Uma atualização recente do conjunto de patches (PSU, na sigla em inglês).
  • O OPatch mais recente disponível.

Por exemplo, os binários do Oracle Database 19.3.0.0.0 Enterprise são os seguintes:

  • Oracle Database 19c (19.3.0.0.0) para Linux x86-64 (Enterprise Edition). Faça o download deste binário da Oracle eDelivery Cloud: https://edelivery.oracle.com/. Na página de download, selecione Fazer o download do pacote na lista, digite Oracle Database 19 Enterprise Edition no campo de pesquisa e clique em Pesquisar.

  • Atualização do conjunto de patches (PSU, na sigla em inglês). Confira a PSU de abril de 2021: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/PatchDetail?patchId=32545013&languageId=0&platformId=226&patch_name=32545013&releaseId=600000000018520&_adf.ctrl-state=7pbau4y2d_4&_afrLoop=470976018798075. Anote a versão do patch, 32545013 neste exemplo, que será usada mais tarde ao criar imagens.

Como criar imagens de contêiner do Oracle Database

Você precisa ter o Docker instalado antes de seguir as etapas abaixo. Você precisa realizar essas etapas em um sistema Linux.

  1. Crie um diretório com os binários que você baixou nas etapas anteriores. Defina a variável PATH_TO_IMAGE_BUILD no seu ambiente:

    export PATH_TO_IMAGE_BUILD=PATH
    

    Substitua PATH pelo caminho completo para o diretório que contém os binários do Oracle.

  2. Copie os scripts de build de imagem do apêndice deste documento para o diretório PATH_TO_IMAGE_BUILD.

  3. Copie os binários da Oracle que você baixou antes para o diretório PATH_TO_IMAGE_BUILD, onde estão os scripts de build. Verifique se o diretório PATH_TO_IMAGE_BUILD contém os arquivos corretos:

    O script leva aproximadamente 40 minutos para ser executado.

    O script cria uma imagem com sementes que contém um banco de dados de contêiner (CDB, na sigla em inglês). O serviço de banco de dados exige o seeding das imagens do Oracle porque isso reduz drasticamente o tempo de provisionamento.

  5. Verifique se você criou a imagem do banco de dados em contêineres com sucesso usando o seguinte comando:

Fazer upload de imagens para o registro do Harbor

  1. Configure um bucket de armazenamento no projeto e faça upload do arquivo tar nele.

  2. Crie um tíquete para o operador de infraestrutura e peça o upload da imagem para o Artifact Registry. Inclua as seguintes informações no tíquete:

    Solicitação para fazer upload de uma imagem do Oracle para o serviço de banco de dados.

    • Nome da organização: <organization name>
    • Local do arquivo:
      • Nome do projeto: <name of project owning the bucket>

# Cloud Build for DB Image
This tooling picks up the software from Cloud Storage bucket and then creates a container
image with the RDBMS software preinstalled. At present, it supports Oracle 19c
and Oracle 12.2. The docker container does not contain the database, and needs
to be created separately.

The base container OS is Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL7-slim).

## Access

When running the command, mentioned in Oracle 18c XE, you might see failures if the cloudbuilder
service account does not have 'Storage Viewer' access to the Cloud Storage bucket that
stores the software.
