Mover la gestión de máquinas virtuales entre dos dispositivos de copia de seguridad o recuperación

La consola de administración te permite transferir la gestión de una máquina virtual de un dispositivo de copia de seguridad o recuperación a otro. Este proceso transfiere la gestión de esa máquina virtual al dispositivo de copia de seguridad o recuperación de destino especificado, tal como se define en la ventana Mover plan de copia de seguridad.
La gestión de máquinas virtuales entre dos dispositivos solo se puede realizar con máquinas virtuales ubicadas en el mismo host de vCenter o ESX. Solo los dispositivos que gestionan VMs en el mismo host de vCenter o ESX pueden ser dispositivos de destino para el movimiento de planes de copia de seguridad.
Estos electrodomésticos se muestran en la lista de electrodomésticos de destino posibles.
Mover la gestión de máquinas virtuales a otro dispositivo
Sigue estas instrucciones para mover una máquina virtual de un dispositivo a otro:
En la consola de gestión del servicio de copia de seguridad y recuperación ante desastres, haz clic en Gestor de aplicaciones y selecciona Aplicaciones en la lista desplegable.
Se abrirá la página Aplicaciones.
Selecciona la VM que quieras mover y, a continuación, elige Mover plan de copia de seguridad en la lista desplegable de la esquina inferior derecha de la ventana.
Se abrirá la ventana Mover plan de copia de seguridad. La VM que selecciones puede ser gestionada o no gestionada. Puedes mover una VM sin aplicar primero un plan de copias de seguridad para gestionarla.
Elige el dispositivo de destino, el perfil de recursos y la plantilla de política.
Haz clic en Mover plan de copia de seguridad.
El mensaje de copia de seguridad en movimiento se abre durante el proceso.
Una vez completada la migración, se mostrará el mensaje correspondiente.
Cambiar el nombre de un vCenter
Si cambia el nombre de un vCenter, recuerde cambiarlo también en la consola de gestión.
Sigue estas instrucciones para cambiar el nombre de un vCenter en la consola de gestión:
Haz clic en Gestionar y selecciona Hosts.
Busca tu host de vCenter y selecciona la opción Editar.
Modifica el campo Nombre y selecciona Guardar.
Efecto de cambiar el UUID de una VM.
Si cambia el UUID de una VM gestionada, se creará una copia completa en la siguiente tarea de copia de seguridad. Esto se debe a que el UUID es un identificador clave y un UUID modificado podría significar que se trata de una máquina virtual totalmente nueva.

Click **Move Backup Plan**.\n\n The moving backup message opens during the move.\n | **Note:** If the VM on the source appliance is managed with a StreamSnap replication policy, and the replication target---including the VM to move---exists on the target appliance, then management console prevents the backup plan move and generates an error message. This occurs because the VM already exists on the target appliance as part of the replication process, where a full copy of data is created at the remote site.\n\n Once migration is complete, the migration complete message displays.\n | **Note:** If the move is not successful, the management console displays a **Move Backup Plan Failed** message along with an explanation of the failure as related to the target appliance. If possible, resolve the issue and attempt to move the backup plan again.\n\nRename a vCenter\n----------------\n\nIf you change the name of a vCenter, then remember to rename the vCenter within\nthe management console.\n\nUse these instructions to rename a vCenter in management console:\n\n1. Click **Manage** and select **Hosts**.\n2. Find your vCenter host and select the **Edit** option.\n3. Update the **Name** field, and select **Save**.\n\n### Effect of changing the UUID of a VM.\n\nIf the UUID of a managed VM changes, then a new full copy occurs on the\nnext backup job.
