Utilization reports show the usage of resources by protected applications and VMs. The required resources fall into two categories: bandwidth used to replicate data from a primary to a DR appliance, and the pools used for storage.
Utilization reports include:
Application growth
This report gives the growth trends for the resources that are being used by the applications. It spreads the interval into 10 equal intervals and report the usage on corresponding date.
Column descriptions
Appliance. Name of the appliance.
Remote Node. Name of the remote appliance.
Host. Name of the host.
Application. Name of the application.
Application Type. Name of the application type.
Resources. Type of storage resource.
Each column represents the metric of the resource used for the corresponding date.
Growth. The difference between the initial non-zero value and final usage of the resource.
Growth %. Percentage of the difference between the initial non-zero value and final usage of the resource.
Chart. Growth trend of the metric for the application.
Report parameters
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down, lists all the appliances that are added to the Report Manager.
Select Organizations. The multi-select drop-down, lists the organizations that belong to the selected appliances.
Select Application Types. The multi-select drop-down, lists the application type for the applications that belong to the selected appliances and organizations.
Select Policy Templates. The multi-select drop-down, list all the policy templates used by the selected applications and appliances.
Resources. The multi-select drop-down list to select the resource type.
OnVault Pools. The multi-select drop-down list to select the OnVault pools.
Host Name. Filter for host name, you can specify

Select Start Date. Beginning date of the reporting interval having default selection as DAY-7.
Select End Date. Ending date of the reporting interval having default selection as DAY.
Draw Chart. Show the chart trend for application growth.
The default reporting interval is last 90 days as defined by DAY and DAY-90.
Bandwidth utilization history
This report shows hourly trend of both incoming and outgoing bandwidth statistics of the selected backup/recovery appliance.
Column descriptions
Hour Ending. Timestamp of the data collection
Throughput (Mbps). Incoming and Outgoing bandwidth throughput for StreamSnap.
Report parameters
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down lists all the appliances that are added to the Report Manager.
Select Start Date. Start date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY-1.
Select End Date. End date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY.
The default reporting interval is last 24 hours as defined by DAY and DAY-1.
Cloud resource consumption by day
This report shows the day by day resource utilization of Cloud Volumes, Cloud Snapshots, and Cloud Instances.
Column descriptions
Date. Date for which resources utilization is mentioned.
Pool. Name of the Cloud pool.
Appliance. Name of the appliance.
Cloud Volumes, Cloud Snapshots, and Cloud Instances account for create and delete operations will have the following details:
Count. Count of jobs run.
Virtual Size (GB). Size of data modified.
Report parameters
All parameter selection is mandatory.
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down lists all the appliances that are added to Report Manager.
Select Organizations. The multi-select drop-down lists drop-down lists the organizations that belong to the selected appliances.
Select Start Date. Start date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY-30.
Select End Date. End date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY.
The default reporting interval is the last 30 days as defined by DAY and DAY-30.
Protected application sizes
This report gives the list of applications that are consuming the Protected Data license for each appliance. This provides the number of images of each job class has with their latest expiration and image created dates.
Column descriptions
Appliance. Name of the appliance.
Host. Name of the host where the application resides.
Application. Name of the application suffixed with the host name.
Application Type. Type of the application.
Organization List. List of organizations the application belongs to. Blank for orphaned applications.
Policy Template. Policy template used for application protection.
Protected Data (TB). Data protected by the application.
Snapshot, Remote, Remote Snapshot (StreamSnap), and OnVault sections:
Image Count. Count of Backup Images the application has for corresponding job class.
Latest Expiration Date. Date when the longest-retained backup image will expire.
Latest Image Date. Date when the most recent backup image was created.
Report parameters
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down lists all the appliances that are added to Report Manager.
Select Organizations. The multi-select drop-down lists drop-down lists the organizations that belong to the selected appliances.
Select Policy Templates. The multi-select drop-down lists the policy templates.
Select Application Types. The multi-select drop-down lists the application type for the applications that belong to the selected appliances and organizations.
As of Date. Select date for historic managed data reporting.
Hide Headers & Footers. If checked, the report does not show the report header, summary, or footer.
Protected application sizes over time
This report provides summary of protected application size over time with a trend line and it has three sections as follows.
Total Application Size Per Appliance. This will be a stacked area chart showing the Protected Data contribution for each selected appliance to the total protected data consumed.
Total Application Size Trend. This will show the total of Protected Data consumption with actual and a linear regression trend.
Applications Protected Per Appliance. This will be a stacked area chart showing the count of application for each appliance contributing to the total Protected Data consumed.

Select Start Date. Start date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY-180.
Select End Date. End date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY.
Select Date to Extend Trend. Forecast date for the report having default selection as DAY+90.
The default reporting interval is last 270 days, history of 180 days and future prediction for 90 days as defined by DAY+90 and DAY-180.
Protected application size summary
This report provides the summary of protected data consumption within the following sections:
Protected Data Consumed by Appliance. This section lists appliances that are consuming protected data, along with the count of applications contributing to it. There are two graphs that include this information.
Protected Data Consumed by Organization. This section lists organizations that are consuming protected data, along with the count of applications contributing to it. There are two graphs that include this information.
Protected Data Consumed by Application Type. This section lists Application Types that are consuming protected data, along with the count of applications contributing to it. There are two graphs that include this information.
Protected Data Consumed by Policy Template. This section lists Policy Templates that are consuming protected data, along with the count of applications contributing to it. There are two graphs that include this information.

OnVault pool consumption
This report shows the OnVault pool consumption for each pool, followed by the details of consumption in each pool. The details section shows the trend of appliance and pool followed by recent date's consumption for the selected interval.
Column descriptions
Appliance. Name of the appliance.
Host. Name of the host where the application resides.
Application. Name of the application suffixed with the host name.
Application Type. Type of the application.
Consumption (TB). OnVault storage used by the application.
Report parameters
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down lists all the appliances that are added to Report Manager.
Select Organizations. The multi-select drop-down lists the organizations that belong to the selected appliances.
Show Summary. By checking this option, you can see the details of each OnVault pool.
Show Charts. By checking this option, you can see the historic consumption of OnVault pool for selected interval.
Show Details. By checking this option, you can see the details of each application's contribute to OnVault consumption.
Select Start Date. Start date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY-30.
Select End Date. End date of the reporting interval with default selection as DAY.
The default reporting interval is the last 30 days as defined by DAY and DAY-30.
Snapshot pool consumption
This report shows the snapshot pool and VDisk consumption trends over time and top consumers of the pool. The first section is charts of the maximum and consumed space for each snapshot pool. The second section has chart of VDisk consumption for the appliance. The third section is a table of the local and remote applications that use the snapshot pools.
Column descriptions
Appliance. Name of the appliance.
Host. Name of the host where the application resides.
Application. Name of the application suffixed with the host name.
Application Type. Type of the application.
Snapshot Pool Consumed (GB). Snapshot storage used by the application.
VDisks Used. Number of VDisk used by the application.
Staging Disk Storage Used (GB). Staging disk storage used by the application.

Storage resource trending
This report shows the resource consumption for snapshot pools and VDisks. It also forecasts the future consumption of the resources.
Column descriptions
Capacity (Blue Line). Storage capacity of the pool.
Consumed (Green Line). Consumption of the storage pool.
Trend (Red Line). Linear regression trend line for future pool consumption.
Report parameters
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down lists all the appliances that are added to Report Manager.
Pool Types. The multi-select drop-down lists the pool types (snapshot and VDisk).
Select Start Date. Start date of the reporting interval with the default selection as DAY-180.
Select End Date. End date of the reporting interval with the default selection as DAY.
Select Date to Extend Trend. Forecast date for the report having the default selection as DAY+90.
The default reporting interval is last 180 days, the report shows 180 days of history with a linear regression trend line extended 90 days into future as defined by DAY-180 and DAY+90.
Storage resource usage summary
This report provides the concise detailed summary of resource consumption for a selected date.
Column descriptions
Appliance. Name of the Appliance.
Date Date consumption was calculated.
Resource Type One of the resource types (snapshot pool, VDisks, OnVault pools, primary pools, and total storage).
Name Date consumption was calculated.
Capacity Capacity of the resource types, blank for OnVault pools.
Used Consumption of the resource types.
% Used Percentage of VDisk and pool volume that are consumed.
Report parameters
Select Appliances. The multi-select drop-down lists all the appliances that are added to the Report Manager.
Resource Types. The multi-select drop-down lists the resource types.
As-of-Date. Date on which consumption is calculated.
Units. Metrics to be used for calculating consumption (TB or GB).
Show Summary. By selecting this option, summary section will be shown.
Show Details. By selecting this option, details section will be shown.
The Total Storage is the sum for the selected resource type from the list of snapshot and primary pools on the system.
