Il servizio di backup e RE utilizza la protezione dei dati delle API di archiviazione VMware vSphere per creare backup delle VM VMware, collocandoli nel pool di snapshot dell'appliance di backup/ripristino o nei pool OnVault.
Per effettuare chiamate API, l'appliance di backup/ripristino deve connettersi all'host del server vCenter o ESX con un nome utente e una password che abbiano l'autorità per eseguire le azioni richieste. Questa pagina spiega come aggiungere un host vCenter o ESX Server nella console di gestione.
Il servizio di backup e RE stabilisce una connessione sicura con vCenter. Se non viene stabilita una connessione sicura, i job di backup e ripristino non riescono.
La connessione a vCenter non riesce in uno dei seguenti scenari:
Se non c'è corrispondenza tra il nome di vCenter e il nome nel
certificato vCenter.
Se il certificato vCenter non è considerato attendibile dai trust anchor del sistema operativo o se vCenter ha certificati autofirmati.
Aggiungere un nuovo host vCenter o ESX Server
Segui queste istruzioni per aggiungere un nuovo host vCenter o server ESX alla console di gestione:
Fai clic su Gestisci>Host.
Seleziona + Aggiungi host.
Nel campo Nome, inserisci il nome di dominio completo dell'host vCenter.
Assicurati che il nome nel campo Nome dell'host corrisponda a quello nel certificato di vCenter.
La connessione non riesce se non c'è corrispondenza.
(Facoltativo) Nel campo Nome visualizzato, inserisci un nome facile da ricordare per l'host.
Il nome di un host deve iniziare con una lettera e può contenere lettere
e cifre (0-9). Non utilizzare i caratteri di sottolineatura (_) nei nomi host.
Puoi anche aggiungere un nome visualizzato per l'host vCenter nel campo Nome visualizzato.
Inserisci l'indirizzo IP dell'host in Indirizzo IP. Fai clic su + per aggiungere
più indirizzi IP.
Nella sezione Appliance, seleziona una o più appliance che servono questo host.
Se l'elenco è lungo, puoi utilizzare il campo di ricerca per trovare un elettrodomestico o un gruppo di elettrodomestici specifico.
In Tipo di host, seleziona vCenter o ESX Server.
Seleziona la modalità di trasporto dei dati, NFS o SAN. NFS è l'impostazione consigliata e predefinita. Inserisci il nome utente e la password per collegarti all'host, quindi utilizza il pulsante Test per convalidarli.
Devi inserire una porta solo se ne viene utilizzata una non standard.
