Installa l'agente del servizio di backup e DR sugli host del database.

Considerazioni sul rilevamento dei database SQL
Gli appliance di backup/recupero supportano Microsoft SQL Server su Microsoft Windows
Server.
Il rilevamento si basa sul writer VSS di SQL. Affinché il rilevamento funzioni correttamente, SQL
VSS Writer deve essere installato ed eseguito sull'host.
Gli appliance possono gestire Microsoft SQL Server, istanze SQL,
gruppi di coerenza di database SQL Server e gruppi di disponibilità SQL.
Per un'appliance di failover SQL, l'individuazione deve essere eseguita sul nodo attivo, sull'IP del nodo, sul nodo dell'appliance o sull'IP dell'appliance. In caso contrario, i database in cluster non vengono rilevati.
Aggiungere l'host
Aggiungi l'host alla console di gestione. Se l'host è già stato aggiunto, modificalo e assicurati di impostare correttamente tutte le configurazioni.
Fai clic su Gestisci>Host, poi fai clic su + Aggiungi host.
Nella pagina Aggiungi host, completa quanto segue:
Nome: fornisci il nome del server di database.
Indirizzo IP: fornisci l'IP del server di database e fai clic sul
segno più (+).
Elettrodomestici: seleziona la casella di controllo per l'elettrodomestico.
Tipo di host: assicurati che sia Generico.
Fai clic su Aggiungi in basso a destra per aggiungere l'host. L'organizzatore viene aggiunto.
Fai clic con il tasto destro del mouse sull'host e seleziona Modifica.
Lascia Formato disco di staging impostato su Blocco.
Inserisci il nome utente e la password che hai configurato in
Application Discovery Credentials.
Seleziona Salva.
Rileva istanze e database SQL Server
Utilizza le seguenti istruzioni per rilevare istanze e database SQL Server:
Fai clic su Gestione app>Applicazioni, seleziona
Aggiungi applicazione.
Seleziona SQL Server nella pagina Aggiungi applicazione, quindi seleziona l'host del database SQL Server. Se hai molti host, puoi utilizzare la
funzionalità di ricerca o il filtro per visualizzare solo gli host gestiti da
un'appliance di backup/recupero specifica.
Seleziona l'host e fai clic su Avanti.
Viene eseguita l'individuazione sull'host SQL Server e vengono individuate tutte le istanze e i database SQL Server in esecuzione.
Trovare le istanze e i database rilevati in Gestione app
Per trovare il database appena scoperto, vai all'elenco Applicazioni di App Manager. Vengono elencate tutte le applicazioni note alla console di gestione di tutti i tipi.
Utilizza il filtro dell'applicazione Tipo per mostrare solo le istanze di database SQL Server. Le nuove istanze e i nuovi database SQL Server vengono visualizzati nell'elenco come non gestiti, con l'icona a forma di scudo.

For the discovery to work correctly, SQL\n VSS writer must be installed and running on the host.\n\n- Appliances can manage Microsoft SQL Servers, SQL instances,\n consistency groups of SQL Server databases, and SQL availability groups.\n\n- For a SQL failover appliance, the discovery needs to be run on\n either the active node---or node IP---or appliance node---or\n appliance IP. Otherwise, clustered databases aren't discovered.\n\nAdd the host\n------------\n\nAdd the host to the management console. Select **Save**.\n\nDiscover SQL Server instances and databases\n-------------------------------------------\n\nUse the following instructions to discover SQL Server instances and databases:\n\n1. Click **App Manager** \\\u003e **Applications** , select\n **Add Application**.\n\n2. Select **SQL Server** on the **Add Application** page, then select the\n SQL Server database host. If you have many hosts, you can use the\n search feature or use the filter to see only hosts that are managed by\n a specific backup/recovery appliance.\n\n | **Note:** When adding SQL instances that participate in Microsoft Server Failover Clusters, either: \n | Run the wizard once for each node in the cluster, or else \n | Add all applications and multi-select all nodes at once. With this method, apply protection from the **Applications Listing** view by selecting **Manage Backup Plan** for the SQL instance.\n3. Select the host and click **Next**.\n This runs the discovery on the SQL Server host and discovers all SQL Server\n instances and databases running on it.\n\n | **Note:** Discovery on any one node adds other nodes of cluster as well. \n | To discover system DBs, run discovery on each node. System DBs can be protected as part of a SQL instance. \n | Availability Group databases can be protected as part of a SQL AG application. \n | You can take a backup image of a secondary by specifying the AG backup preference from application advanced settings. \n | Log truncation on the primary is managed by SQL Server, even when backing up db or logs on a secondary.\n\nFind the discovered instances and databases in the App Manager\n--------------------------------------------------------------\n\nTo find the newly-discovered database, go to the **App Manager Applications**\nlist. All applications known to the management console of all types are listed.\nUse the **Type** application filter to show only SQL Server\ndatabase instances.
