Updates information in an existing dataset. The update method replaces the entire dataset resource, whereas the patch method only replaces fields that are provided in the submitted dataset resource.

PUT https://bigquery.googleapis.com/bigquery/v2/projects/{projectId}/datasets/{datasetId}

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

projectId	string Required. Project ID of the dataset being updated
datasetId	string Required. Dataset ID of the dataset being updated

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Dataset.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Dataset.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/bigquery
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
