두 어플라이언스 간의 VM 관리 이동은 동일한 vCenter 또는 ESX 호스트 내에 있는 VM으로 제한됩니다. 동일한 vCenter 또는 ESX 호스트에서 VM을 관리하는 어플라이언스만 백업 계획 이동의 타겟 어플라이언스가 될 수 있습니다.
이러한 어플라이언스는 가능한 타겟 어플라이언스 목록에 표시됩니다.
VM 관리를 다른 어플라이언스로 이동
다음 안내에 따라 VM을 한 어플라이언스에서 다른 어플라이언스로 이동합니다.
백업 및 DR 서비스 관리 콘솔에서 앱 관리자를 클릭하고 드롭다운 목록에서 애플리케이션을 선택합니다.
애플리케이션 페이지가 열립니다.
이동할 VM을 선택한 다음 창의 오른쪽 하단에 있는 드롭다운 목록에서 백업 계획 이동을 선택합니다.
백업 계획 이동 창이 열립니다. 선택한 VM은 관리형 또는 비관리형일 수 있습니다. 백업 계획을 먼저 적용하지 않고도 VM을 이동할 수 있습니다.
타겟 어플라이언스, 리소스 프로필, 정책 템플릿을 선택합니다.
백업 계획 이동을 클릭합니다.
이동 중에 이동 백업 메시지가 열립니다.
마이그레이션이 완료되면 마이그레이션 완료 메시지가 표시됩니다.
vCenter 이름 변경
vCenter의 이름을 변경하는 경우 관리 콘솔 내에서 vCenter의 이름을 변경해야 합니다.
다음 안내에 따라 관리 콘솔에서 vCenter 이름을 변경하세요.
관리를 클릭하고 호스트를 선택합니다.
vCenter 호스트를 찾아 수정 옵션을 선택합니다.
이름 필드를 업데이트하고 저장을 선택합니다.
VM의 UUID 변경 효과
관리 VM의 UUID가 변경되면 다음 백업 작업에서 새 전체 사본이 생성됩니다. UUID는 키 식별자이며 변경된 UUID는 완전히 새로운 VM을 의미할 수 있기 때문입니다.

This process moves management\nof that VM to the specified target backup/recovery appliance as defined in the\n**Move Backup Plan** window.\n\nThe movement of VM management between two appliances is limited to VMs located\nwithin the same vCenter or ESX host. Only appliances that manage VMs in the\nsame vCenter or ESX host can be target appliances for backup plan movement.\nThose appliances are shown in the list of possible target appliances.\n\nMove VM management to another appliance\n---------------------------------------\n\nUse these instructions to move a VM from one appliance to another appliance:\n\n1. From the Backup and DR Service management console, click\n **App Manager** and select **Applications** from the drop-down list.\n\n The **Applications** page opens.\n2. Select the VM that you want to move, then choose **Move Backup Plan** from\n the drop-down list at the bottom right corner of the window.\n\n The **Move Backup Plan** window opens. The VM you select can be managed or\n unmanaged. You can move a VM without first applying a backup plan to manage it.\n3. Choose the target appliance, resource profile, and policy template.\n\n4. Click **Move Backup Plan**.\n\n The moving backup message opens during the move.\n | **Note:** If the VM on the source appliance is managed with a StreamSnap replication policy, and the replication target---including the VM to move---exists on the target appliance, then management console prevents the backup plan move and generates an error message. This occurs because the VM already exists on the target appliance as part of the replication process, where a full copy of data is created at the remote site.\n\n Once migration is complete, the migration complete message displays.\n | **Note:** If the move is not successful, the management console displays a **Move Backup Plan Failed** message along with an explanation of the failure as related to the target appliance. If possible, resolve the issue and attempt to move the backup plan again.\n\nRename a vCenter\n----------------\n\nIf you change the name of a vCenter, then remember to rename the vCenter within\nthe management console.\n\nUse these instructions to rename a vCenter in management console:\n\n1. Click **Manage** and select **Hosts**.\n2. Find your vCenter host and select the **Edit** option.\n3. Update the **Name** field, and select **Save**.\n\n### Effect of changing the UUID of a VM.\n\nIf the UUID of a managed VM changes, then a new full copy occurs on the\nnext backup job.
