Para comenzar a usar tus bases de datos de Oracle con Backup and DR, debes realizar dos pasos: agregar el host del servidor de Oracle a la consola de administración y, luego, detectar las bases de datos de Oracle.
Agrega el host
Agrega el host a la consola de administración. Si el host ya se agregó, edítalo y asegúrate de configurar todo correctamente.
Haz clic en Administrar>Hosts y, luego, en + Agregar host.
En la página Agregar host, completa lo siguiente:
Nombre: Proporciona el nombre del servidor de la base de datos.
Dirección IP: Proporciona la IP del servidor de la base de datos y haz clic en el signo más (+).
Electrodomésticos: Selecciona la casilla de verificación del electrodoméstico.
Tipo de host: Asegúrate de que sea Genérico.
Haz clic en Agregar para agregar el host. Se agregó el organizador.
Haz clic con el botón derecho en el host y selecciona Editar.
Deja el Formato de disco de transferencia como Bloque.
Ingresa el nombre de usuario y la contraseña que configuraste anteriormente en Credenciales de detección de aplicaciones.
Selecciona Guardar.
Descubre y protege la aplicación de la base de datos de Oracle
Sigue estas instrucciones para descubrir y proteger las aplicaciones de bases de datos:
Haz clic en Administrador de aplicaciones>Aplicaciones y, luego, selecciona Agregar aplicación.
Selecciona Oracle en el asistente Add Application.
Sigue las instrucciones del asistente. En la sección Seleccionar, elige la base de datos de la que deseas crear una copia de seguridad y, luego, en la sección Administrar, aplica la plantilla de política y el perfil de recursos que creaste en Cómo definir plantillas de políticas y perfiles de recursos.
Haz clic en Configuración de la aplicación en la sección Configurar.
Selecciona el método de captura de copias de seguridad según tus necesidades y la información que se encuentra en Protect the Oracle environment against data loss, errors, and corruption (Protege el entorno de Oracle contra la pérdida, los errores y la corrupción de datos) en la ventana Application Settings (Configuración de la aplicación).
Haz clic en Guardar, luego en Siguiente y, por último, en Finalizar.
Puedes ver la base de datos en la lista App Manager Applications con un escudo verde que indica que se aplicó el plan de copias de seguridad.
Es posible que la aplicación no se capture hasta que se ejecute el trabajo programado según el horario de atención definido en la plantilla de copia de seguridad. Por ejemplo, si a las 10:00 (UTC) asignas una plantilla que tiene horas de operación de 02:00 (UTC) a 05:00 (UTC), el primer trabajo no comenzará hasta que el dispositivo tenga un espacio de trabajo disponible a las 02:00 (UTC) del día siguiente. Para ejecutar un trabajo de inmediato, realiza una captura a pedido.

If the host is already added, then\nedit the host and make sure to set all the configurations correctly.\n| **Note:** If you have added the Windows server to Backup and DR as a Compute Engine instance or as a VMware VM, then a host for this VM already exists and you don't need to add it again using the following procedure. Instead find and edit that host.\n\n1. Click **Manage** \\\u003e **Hosts** , then click **+ Add Host**.\n\n2. On the **Add Host** page complete the following:\n\n - **Name**: Provide the database server name.\n\n - **IP Address** : Provide the database server IP and click the\n **plus sign (+)**.\n\n - **Appliances**: Select the checkbox for the appliance.\n\n - **Host Type** : Make sure this is **Generic**.\n\n3. Click **Add** to add the host. The host is added.\n\n4. Right-click the host and select **Edit**.\n\n5. Leave the **Staging Disk Format** as **Block**.\n\n6. Enter the username and password that you set up previous in\n **Application Discovery Credentials**.\n\n7. Select **Save**.\n\nDiscover and protect the Oracle database application\n----------------------------------------------------\n\nUse these instructions to discover and protect the database applications:\n\n1. Click **App Manager** \\\u003e **Applications** , then select\n **Add Application**.\n\n2. Select **Oracle** in the **Add Application** wizard.\n\n3. Follow the wizard. In the **Select** section, select the database to back up,\n and then in the **Manage** section, apply the policy template and the\n resource profile that you created in\n [Define policy templates and resource profiles](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/concepts/backup-plan-policy-best-practices).\n\n4. To protect the database logs, see [Database log protection in a backup plan policy](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/concepts/backup-plan-policy-best-practices#Log-protection).\n\n5. Click **Application Settings** in the **Configure** section.\n\n6. Select the backup capture method based on your needs and the information in\n [Protect the Oracle environment against data loss, errors, and corruption](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/concepts/oracle-intro)\n in the **Application Settings** window.\n\n In the **Application Settings** tab, you can change\n [application-specific settings](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/create-plan/oracle-advanced-settings).\n7. Click **Save** , then **Next** , then **Finish**.\n\n8. You can see the database in the **App Manager Applications** list with a\n green shield indicating that the backup plan has been applied.\n\nThe application may not be captured until the scheduled job runs according\nto the hours of operation defined in the backup template. For example, if at\n10:00 (UTC) you assign a template that has hours of operation from 02:00 (UTC)\nto 05:00 (UTC), then the first job doesn't start until the appliance has an\navailable job slot at 02:00 (UTC) of the following day. To run a job\nimmediately, perform an\n[on-demand capture](/backup-disaster-recovery/docs/monitor-reports/monitor-jobs#run).\n\nYou don't have to apply a backup plan right now.
