Troubleshooting StratoZone login

When you are invited to sign in to StratoZone, you receive an account registration email. Learn how to request access to StratoZone and start an assessment.

To access the StratoZone portal, you need a Google account associated with the email address where you received the registration email.

This page explains how to create a Google account with an existing email address, and how to troubleshoot common issues with StratoZone login.

Create a Google account

To create a Google account using your existing email address, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Google account sign up page.
  2. Enter your first and last name.
  3. Click Use my current email address.
  4. Enter the email address associated with your StratoZone registration, and specify a password.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Google sends a verification code to your email address. Check your email and copy the verification code.

  7. On the email address verification page, enter the verification code, and then click Verify. Your account has been created and verified.

  8. To complete your account details, enter your phone number (optional), birth date, and gender (you can set it to rather not say), then click Next.

  9. Review the terms and conditions, and then click I Agree to complete your account creation.

Common login errors

Failed to sign in with Google

Error message: Failed to sign in with Google. If this is unexpected, please check that third-party cookies are enabled and refresh the page.

You might see this error message in one of the following cases:

  1. When attempting to sign in to StratoZone, it is possible that you inadvertently closed the Google sign-in window without completing the sign-in process.

    Solution: Refresh your page and try signing in with your Google account again.

  2. When using your browser in Incognito mode, which disables third-party cookies. Third-party cookies are required to sign in to StratoZone using the Sign in with Google option.

    Solution : Try using your browser in regular mode, or enable third-party cookies from accounts.google.com.

Your authenticated Google account is not registered

Error message: Your authenticated Google account is not registered in StratoZone. Please contact support if you believe this is an error.

If you see this error message when attempting to sign in to StratoZone, then you were able to successfully sign in to your Google account, but that email address is not associated with a user account in StratoZone.

Solution: Ensure that the Google account you are using to sign in to StratoZone uses the same email address associated with your StratoZone registration. If you don't have a Google account, create a Google account using your registered email address.

To ensure that you have been granted access, check your email inbox for an email from alerts@stratozone.com. If you cannot find the registration email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. If you did not receive an email, contact your Google representative to check if you have been granted access.

Conflicting Google account

Error message: There are two existing Google Accounts for jane.doe@acme.com. Which account do you want to use?

Q. Can I still sign in to StratoZone with username and password?

No. March 30, 2021 onwards, you need to have a Google account to sign in to StratoZone.

Q. Do I need a Gmail account for StratoZone?

No. You can create a Google account with an existing email address on which you received the StratoZone account registration email.

Q. Can I use an email alias?

If you are using an email alias that points to another email address, contact stratozone-support@google.com to get your StratoZone email address updated from the alias account to the actual email for which you can create a Google account.
