Google Distributed Cloud Virtual for Bare Metal (GDCV for Bare Metal) è un software che estende l'infrastruttura e i servizi di Google Cloud nel tuo data center, con il software fornito da Google in esecuzione sul tuo hardware.
GDCV per Bare Metal è basato su Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), con il proprio pacchetto GKE su Bare Metal che estende GKE per l'utilizzo in un ambiente on-premise. Con GKE su Bare Metal, puoi creare e gestire i cluster Kubernetes sull'hardware nel tuo data center, utilizzando al contempo le funzionalità di Google Cloud.
GDCV per Bare Metal include il runtime VM su Google Distributed Cloud, che consente di eseguire VM su Kubernetes nello stesso modo in cui esegui i container. Con il runtime VM su GDC, puoi eseguire carichi di lavoro esistenti basati su VM mentre sviluppi ed esegui nuove applicazioni basate su container.
