Google Cloud Marketplace Open Source Policy

This Google Cloud Marketplace Open Source Policy (“OSP”) is incorporated into the Marketplace Vendor Agreement between the Vendor and Google or the other agreement under which Google lists the Vendor’s Products on the Google Cloud Marketplace (the “Agreement”). Capitalized terms used but not defined in this OSP have the meaning given to them in the Agreement.

By listing a Product on the Google Cloud Marketplace, Vendors agree to comply with this OSP.

  • Vendors must comply with the license requirements applicable to any Open Source Materials or Third-Party Materials they include, incorporate, or use in Products that are listed on the Marketplace, and Vendors will assist Google in complying with these requirements.
  • Vendors will not include, incorporate, or use in any product listed on the Marketplace Third-Party Materials licensed under any license that could be reasonably likely to require Google to (a) disclose or distribute any of its proprietary software or products in source code form; (b) license such proprietary software or products for the purpose of preparing derivative works; or (c) distribute such proprietary software or products at no or nominal charge, unless Google has expressly approved Your use of a component governed by such a license.

The definitions for the terms “Open Source Materials” and “Third-Party Materials” can be found in the Marketplace Vendor Agreement.
