gcloud alpha compute url-maps edit
can be used to modify a URL map. The URL map resource is fetched from the server and presented in a text editor. After the file is saved and closed, this command will update the resource. Only fields that can be modified are displayed in the editor.The editor used to modify the resource is chosen by inspecting the
environment variable.EDITOR

URL_MAP
- Name of the URL map to operate on.
- FLAGS

At most one of these can be specified:
--global
- If set, the URL map is global.
--region
=REGION
-
Region of the URL map to operate on. If not specified, you might be prompted to
select a region (interactive mode only).
To avoid prompting when this flag is omitted, you can set the
property:compute/region
gcloud config set compute/region REGION
A list of regions can be fetched by running:
gcloud compute regions list
To unset the property, run:
gcloud config unset compute/region
Alternatively, the region can be stored in the environment variable
.CLOUDSDK_COMPUTE_REGION
