The Stakeholder Company unifies global signals into an AI-powered intelligence layer for Fortune 500s using Gemini in BigQuery.

Building an AI-native foundation for real-time intelligence with Google Cloud

The Stakeholder Company (TSC) is an AI-enabled SaaS company that helps leaders make sense of an increasingly complex global landscape. From Fortune 500s to the United Nations, organizations rely on TSC to navigate their most critical external relationships and stay ahead of emerging issues. By linking real-time signals across 95 countries, with millions of proprietary data points on stakeholders and the organization’s internal records, TSC empowers teams to answer the fundamental questions of modern strategy: a) What is happening? b) who is making it happen? and c) what can you do about it?

However, for teams managing these global ecosystems, a human challenge emerged: information overload. Most stakeholder knowledge is trapped in disconnected tools, personal notes, and email threads, making it difficult to maintain a shared institutional memory. And, as news monitoring isn’t linked to specific stakeholders, insights stay fragmented and lack the context needed to make a move. To be able to empower leaders for effective decision-making, TSC had to bridge the gap between raw global signals and tailored strategy.

TSC saw the need and value in building an AI-native foundation, and in collaborating with Google Cloud, it aimed to turn this mountain of fragmented signals into a single, unified sensing system—one that moves at the speed of the global news cycle.

We needed to deliver sub-10-second data performance while future-proofing our platform for the AI revolution. Google Cloud provides the foundational scale we require to move from manual stakeholder mapping to a real-time, AI-native sensing system.

Empowering leaders to act at the speed of conversation

To turn its vision into a reality, TSC developed Genie—a cloud-native platform designed to act as a proactive sensing system, workflow orchestration layer and an AI co-pilot that allows users to engage in a strategic dialogue with their data and all relevant external signals.

In the past, our previous infrastructure hit a performance wall that hindered our growth. By rebuilding on Google Cloud, we’ve moved beyond providing data to delivering ‘connect-the-dots’ intelligence. It has transformed a manual, fragmented process into a real-time, AI-powered dialogue—giving leaders the edge they need to navigate global volatility with total confidence.

Before Genie, there was no automated link between global media and stakeholder data. Users had to manually stitch these worlds together to understand who was actually driving the news. Building a tool that could synthesize millions of data points into a conversation required a radical shift in how the company handled its technical foundation.

TSC needed an architecture that could fuse two massive, separate worlds of data: live global media and proprietary stakeholder data. It chose Google Cloud to build this bridge and to transition from a legacy database setup to a high-performance microservices environment on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

With BigQuery as its primary data warehouse and vector store, TSC enabled the platform to perform entity extraction at a massive scale. This means the system doesn’t just see text; it recognizes the people, organizations, and narrative shifts within millions of documents and links them directly to a client’s specific ecosystem.

To power the conversational reasoning of Ask Genie, TSC integrated Gemini in Vertex AI. This allowed TSC to move away from third-party AI providers that struggled with rate-limiting and high latency. Now, instead of an analyst spending half their day piecing together a brief, they can simply ask the co-pilot for synthesized, evidence-based answers in seconds, all within the secure perimeter of Google Cloud.

Delivering high-stakes intelligence faster and with accuracy

The most tangible impact of the migration was the collapse of wait times. By utilizing BigQuery and AlloyDB for PostgreSQL, TSC achieved a 20% improvement in query latency, enabling the platform to deliver sub-10-second insights across millions of data points. For Fortune 500 teams, this means the difference between reading yesterday’s news and influencing tomorrow’s narrative.

Reliability is non-negotiable for organizations that TSC works with. Which meant that shifting to GKE ensured a 99.99% platform uptime, while Vertex AI kept sensitive AI workflows secure, eliminating security concerns of third-party providers, giving clients total confidence in their data privacy.

Today, TSC provides more than just data. It delivers ‘connect-the-dots’ intelligence capabilities to map, mine and monitor complex business environments, networks of issues, stakeholders, positions, influence, and interests. With Google Cloud as its engine, TSC transforms global noise into a connected map, handing leaders insights to orchestrate strategy in a world that never stops moving and evolving.

The Stakeholder Company (TSC) is a global AI firm empowering leaders to solve complex issues. Its sensing system, Genie, maps stakeholder influence across 95+ countries to drive proactive strategy.
