Portugal Gabinete Nacional de Segurança (GNS)

The National Security Authority Office of Portugal (GNS) is the accreditation authority for national and international organizations accessing or handling classified information in Portugal. GNS has a variety of duties, including evaluating, accrediting, and certifying public and private entities' organizations. 

GNS, has certified several Google Cloud and Google Workspace products to process classified information up to National Restricted level, under the authority by article 4 (2) (f) of the Decree-Law no. 3/2012 of 16th January, republished by Decree-Law no. 136/2017 of 7th November.

Google was reviewed against the security requirements defined for a cloud service provider by GNS, after an evaluation done by a third-party assessor. Portugal Gabinete Nacional de Segurança (GNS) certifications for Google Cloud services and Google Workspace can be requested via the Compliance Reports Manager.
