Setting up HTTPS proxy

Stay organized with collections Save and categorize content based on your preferences.

If your setup uses an HTTP proxy to access the internet and/or the Google Cloud API endpoint, you can configure the Migrate for Compute Engine Cloud Extension with the HTTP Proxy information. The optional Migrate for Compute Engine Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging services also use the proxy.

You may separately configure the Cloud Storage API to use the HTTP proxy, however, we strongly recommend against passing migration data through the proxy. See the caveat listed below.

You can configure the types of data that flow through the proxy to include:

  • Control plane only
  • Control plane and data plane

If you apply URL allowlists, add the following URLs:

  • accounts.google.com
  • cloudresourcemanager.googleapis.com
  • www.googleapis.com
  • iam.googleapis.com
  • storage.googleapis.com
