Problem
When you try to login using Google Credential Provider for Windows, you get the following error message:
The user on this computer was already added using this account. Please sign in with a different account.

Environment
- Active Directory profiles
- Google Credential Provider for Windows installed
Solution
To resolve this issue, you must follow these steps:
- Go to the Credential Provider for Windows options in the Admin console.
- Go to the Permitted domains setting and enter the allowed domains.
- It can take up to 1 hour for your update to sync to devices. If you have access to the device, you can manually sync the device:
- On the device, open Task Scheduler.
- In the Task Scheduler library, right-click GoogleUpdateTaskMachineUA and click Run
- Wait a few minutes for the policies to update.
Cause
This message can appear if you try to sign-in to a Google Credential Provider for Windows device and you haven't set any allowed domains in the Admin console of Google Workspace.
