Intel and Google Cloud

Google Cloud offers customizable solutions based on the latest Intel technologies, designed to address security, compute, and memory requirements for the most demanding enterprise workloads and applications.

Google Cloud & Intel

Benefits

Get the scalable solutions your enterprise needs to move forward

Compute-optimized Intel® Xeon® scalable processors

Google Cloud’s compute-optimized instance, C2, and N2 general purpose VMs offer better performance with 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors.

Hybrid and multicloud solutions with Anthos

Intel has Anthos Ready solutions, which provide validated configurations and infrastructure to migrate and modernize workloads with reliability at lowest cost.

Enterprise workloads for your performance needs

Intel-based instances in Google Cloud are optimized for compute, memory, storage, and network-intensive workloads.

Key features

Intel-powered instance benefits

Intel architecture delivers the performance required to address the broadest range of workloads and services—whether compute, networking, or storage.

General purpose workloads (N1, N2)

N1 & N2 instances offer a good balance of price and performance, and are suitable for a wide variety of common workloads including databases, dev/test environments, web apps, and gaming.

N2 general purpose VMs with 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors offer 30% or better price-performance, for a variety of workloads, compared to VMs of the same size running on previous gen Intel® processors.

Compute-intensive workloads (C2)

Compute-optimized machines provide the highest performance per core on Compute Engine and are optimized for workloads such as high performance computing (HPC), game servers, and latency-sensitive API serving.

Google Cloud’s first compute-optimized instance, C2, offers 40% better compute performance1 and 90% faster CPU frequency2 compared to the previous generation N1 instance.

Ultra-high memory (M2, M1)

Memory-optimized machines offer the highest memory configurations with up to 12 TB for a single instance. They are well suited to memory-intensive workloads such as large, in-memory databases like SAP HANA, and in-memory data analytics workloads.

Intel 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable M2 instances provide large, SAP-certified VMs up to 12 TB.

Google Cloud VMware Engine

Easily lift and shift your VMware-based applications to Google Cloud without changes to your apps, tools, or processes. The service provides all the hardware and VMware licenses you need to run in a dedicated VMware SDDC in Google Cloud.

Google Cloud VMware Engine is running on 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors providing up to 768 GB of memory.
