This innovative solution has transformed the Shop Global platform into a modern ecommerce powerhouse with text and photo search capabilities, integration with the LINE app for user convenience, and agentic AI acting as a personal shopper.
The solution's workflow begins with natural language input from users, allowing them to use complex sentences or vague descriptions (example, "Show me something stylish for a bachelor party"). It also supports multimodal input, accepting image uploads for visual search. Powered by advanced LLMs, the system then identifies user intent, extracts key entities and attributes like product category, features, context, brand, price range, color, and size, and grasps the semantic meaning of queries (example, understanding "cold, wet weather" implies insulated and waterproof materials).
AI agents work in the background to gather contextual information, including user profile data (past purchases, browse behavior, wish lists, loyalty status), session data (current activity, viewed items, applied filters), real-time trends, and even external factors like local weather. This data allows for hyper-personalized discovery, with the AI Personal Shopper learning unique styles and preferences to offer tailored recommendations from over 1,000 brands. Shoppers can now search conversationally, asking questions and describing their needs, with the AI delivering accurate results in one to two minutes.
Results are presented dynamically, with the AI agent (chatbot or dynamic results page) showcasing top recommendations, providing direct answers to product-related questions, and adjusting promotions and related items based on user preferences. This solution also features seamless LINE integration, allowing users to access their AI Personal Shopper, receive personalized deals, and complete their shopping journey directly within Thailand's most popular messaging app. This provides instant, smarter support for product queries and style advice, anytime, anywhere.
Key technologies utilized in this solution include Vertex AI Search - Vector Search, Agentic AI - Vertex AI Conversation, data transfer through Datastream, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer, data warehousing and analytics with BigQuery and Looker, Multimodal AI - Gemini, and Cloud Operations for logging and monitoring. The implementation supports seamless search in both Thai and English, and is designed to handle high traffic, such as supporting 150,000 visitors during the Saha Group Fair '25 event.
