Enterprise security teams don't lack data – they lack clarity. Human Managed was founded in 2018 to change that, helping large organizations turn unmanageable volumes of logs, alerts, and signals into intelligence they can act on.

Its flagship Intelligence, Decision, Action (I.DE.A.) platform already excelled at data ingestion and analytics. But as customer environments grew more complex, fragmented workflows, limited contextual learning, and scaling constraints made it harder to deliver timely, decision-ready insights at speed.

To support long-term growth, Human Managed enhanced I.DE.A. with Google Cloud, using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to strengthen its modular, cloud-native architecture. The shift unlocked independent scalability across compute, storage, and processing – without the integration burden that had slowed its earlier systems.

Google Cloud stood out for its ability to support this evolution across data, AI, and security operations within a single ecosystem. This foundation now helps Human Managed deliver faster, more explainable intelligence, building trust with large enterprises that depend on clarity and reliability in daily operations.

When generative AI emerged, Human Managed immediately recognized its potential to accelerate analysis of its vast security datasets and give customers a more natural way to interact with the insights it enabled. With the launch of Gemini and the Google- and Singapore Government-backed AI Cloud Takeoff (CTO) program in 2025, the company deepened its use of Google AI services to enhance reasoning and decision support.

With support from CloudMile, Human Managed expanded I.DE.A. using BigQuery, Dataplex Universal Catalog, and Vertex AI with Gemini – extending the platform's reach from data processing to AI-powered decision-making.

Delivering better security insights, 97% faster

I.DE.A. was always designed to manage voluminous cybersecurity logs, but its expansion to Google Cloud services improved its scalability, enhanced its data collection and analysis, and positioned it to be expanded both vertically and horizontally.

Yet, the process took time. Security experts, who previously had to draw on their expertise and judgement to decide which security alerts to escalate, often needed up to 30 minutes to analyze the raw data and I.DE.A.'s outputs, and then send contextual alerts to customers.

Human Managed recognized that Google Security Operations (SecOps) could speed the ingestion and analysis of large quantities of log and alert data, and its implementation proved the company right.

We are a decision intelligence platform, so every single thing we do sits between a detection and a response. We can now use a combination of statistical logic models and generative AI models to come up with a confidence score – and use Google AI to explain how we came up with it.

With the system monitoring data and continuously learning about new threats, manual triage has been reduced by more than 60% and the time to triage alerts has been slashed to less than one minute – a 97% reduction that helps Human Managed's customers respond to security incidents much faster.

"It's a huge saving compared to doing it manually, and those savings immediately get passed on to our customers," explained Je Sum Yip, Chief Engineer at Human Managed.

Meanwhile, Google AI is feeding alert and log data into Google SecOps workflows, so Human Managed can also add context and enrichment to those alerts.

These workflows tap Vertex AI and Google Threat Intelligence to give customers remediation advice within 15 minutes based on the real-world incident response expertise of Google Mandiant Cybersecurity Consulting.

"Most of the time," Yip said, "the analysis the AI model performs, based on tools and the data we expose to it, is very close to what a human being would do – and that's very encouraging because it shows us that we are on the right path."

The process is self improving, with Human Managed using 'Nano Models' – each supporting a very specific use case – to build and orchestrate teams of automated AI agents. These have expanded the range of analytical services available to customers, who can use Gemini to access increasingly contextual, explainable insights through a familiar conversational interface.

A robust platform for the data-driven future

We find that companies are very good at generating and storing data, but they're not using it to create business value, operational efficiency, or cost savings. Within months of joining the CTO program and expanding its use of Google Cloud, Human Managed was already seeing the benefits – with larger customer use cases and richer services delivered using Google AI.

Its modular, scalable architecture has further strengthened the enterprise credentials of I.DE.A., which can now meet the needs of regulated and large-scale enterprises by ingesting more and larger data sources.

Whereas Human Managed's old technology platform was hitting scalability limits with customers producing 5,000 GB of data per day—or 150 TB per month—the new platform processes for just one customer nearly two petabytes (2,000 TB) of uncompressed log data per month, which Human Managed rapidly turns into insight using Google Cloud and its AI services.

Its continued investment in Google Cloud and AI is strengthening this intelligence services foundation, enabling the company to scale context-driven capabilities across multiple industry verticals.

That includes financial services applications, such as fraud detection – which, as with cybersecurity, requires the near real-time analysis of massive volumes of data.

Now that it can confidently ingest and quickly process petabytes of any type of data, Human Managed is also focused on helping industrial, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare operators collect and analyze operational data from a broad range of new and legacy sensors and systems whose complexity has made automated analysis difficult.

The company's adoption of Google Cloud technologies has produced "an industrial shift" in the way data is collected, analyzed, and repurposed, said Saleem Javed Mohamed Ismail, Founder and Chief Data and AI Officer at Human Managed.

"Without an AI agent, there was no way orchestration was possible," he said, "but now everything can be handled within the data pipeline. The Google Cloud ecosystem, and its maturity when it comes to agentic AI, has actually helped us mature in our journey."
