Important: Effective August 1, 2026, this promotional offer is discontinued and is not available for Looker (original) instances affiliated with Looker contracts signed after August 1, 2026, or for Looker (Google Cloud core) instances created after August 1, 2026. Furthermore, automated entitlement synchronization between Looker and Data Studio Pro has been discontinued; eligible existing customers renewing or modifying their Looker subscriptions must work with their Google Cloud account representative to provision required complimentary Data Studio Pro licenses via an order form, subject to Google approval.
- For eligible Looker (original) contracts signed on or before August 1, 2026, and Looker (Google Cloud core) instances created on or before August 1, 2026, complimentary Data Studio Pro (formerly known as Looker Studio Pro) licenses are governed as follows:
- For eligible Looker accounts with one or more Looker (original) instance, you are eligible to receive one complimentary Data Studio Pro license for each internal named Looker user license that is associated with your Looker account.
- Each eligible Looker (Google Cloud core) instance created on or before August 1, 2026 is eligible to receive 50 complimentary Data Studio Pro licenses.
- Use of Data Studio Pro (even when connected to Looker) is subject to the agreement under which you use Google Cloud, not your Looker agreement.
- Because automated entitlement synchronization between Looker and Data Studio Pro has been discontinued, eligible existing customers renewing their Looker subscription must request required complimentary Data Studio Pro licenses through their Google Cloud account team via an order form rather than self-service instance activation.
- For each license in your Looker instance that expires or terminates, you will lose eligibility for one complimentary Data Studio Pro license, unless otherwise indicated by Google in writing.
- If at any time you are using more Data Studio Pro licenses than the number of complimentary licenses for which you are eligible, you will be charged the then-current subscription list price for such use, unless agreed otherwise by the parties in writing.
- You may not transfer your complimentary Data Studio Pro licenses outside of your organization.
- Consumption-priced Looker subscriptions, customer-hosted Looker instances, and Powered by Looker (PBL) / Signed Embed user licenses are not eligible for complimentary Data Studio Pro licenses.
- We may change this offer or cancel some or all of your complimentary Data Studio Pro licenses at any time upon 30 days notice.
