FISC (Japan)

FISC (Financial Information Systems Center) is a Japanese foundation that conducts research on the use of technology and risk management practices affecting financial systems both domestic and abroad.

In 2018, FISC published the 9th edition of the "FISC Information System Audit Guideline for Banking and Related Financial Institutions," commonly known as the “FISC Security Guideline.”

Google Cloud has developed a FISC whitepaper to help our customers understand how our control environment aligns with the FISC guideline. Many of the controls outlined in our whitepaper are already implemented as part of existing third-party audited compliance offerings, such as our ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, and ISO/IEC 27018 certifications.
