Wonderful takes AI into production for enterprises across markets with Google Cloud.

Building enterprise agents that adapt, respond, and act in any language

Our journey with Google Cloud began with Gemini and Vertex AI. AI quality was our top priority, and Gemini consistently delivered.

Research shows that 65% of global enterprises are now using generative AI in their day-to-day business functions. But the majority of large language models (LLMs) are trained on English-language content, meaning many solutions are optimized for only a small share of the world's markets.

From the start, Wonderful saw the limitations of one-size-fits-all gen AI. Founded in 2025, the company builds enterprise-grade AI agents that can operate across multiple use cases, languages and communication channels, including voice, text, and email, adapting naturally to local context.

"Language and culture really shape how you serve customers," explains Bar Winkler, Wonderful CEO and co-founder. "We aim to help companies create AI agents that streamline their customer interactions and internal business processes while aligning naturally with local languages and cultural expectations."

Wonderful has already expanded to multiple EMEA markets, with more planned over the next year, supporting languages such as Arabic, Czech, French, Greek, Dutch, and Italian. "Our aim is to combine technological excellence with deep local adaptation," Winkler explains. "We're obsessed with locality—it shapes everything we build. For example, in Italy alone there are 12 dialects, plus gender and regional variations, which means creating more than 20 high-quality voice versions for a single market. We want to apply that same level of detail globally to ensure every interaction feels authentic and locally relevant."

Wonderful was looking for a technology partner that could combine advanced multilingual models with globally distributed infrastructure, at a cost that scaled with their growth. They also needed strong reliability, trusted security, and excellent large-context performance. For this, they turned to Google Cloud. "Our journey with Google Cloud began with Gemini and Vertex AI," Winkler says. "AI quality was our top priority, and Gemini consistently delivered."

Powering real-time, multilingual intelligence with Gemini

Bar Winkler quote

The company's initial focus was customer service, with the emergence of real-time multimodal models solving the latency issues that had until then prevented voice agents from matching human performance. "Before, you couldn't create voice agents that could combine both intelligence and real-time efficiency—it was one or the other," Winkler says. Early deployments helped contact centers handle thousands of simultaneous conversations, improving containment rates while reducing response times and costs. "On average, every minute of a call or chat handled by an AI agent reduces enterprise costs by around 70%," Winkler says.

Wonderful serves large enterprises, providing the infrastructure for companies to build and customize AI agents that can be tested, adjusted, and deployed rapidly. With lower-cost reasoning on Google's distributed infrastructure, they can simulate hundreds of thousands of customer journeys to optimize agent performance. "One of our banking clients created a promotional agent in just four days," Winkler says. "Before, that would have taken 50 people several weeks."

Wonderful uses Vertex AI to support model orchestration, while Gemini forms a crucial part of the solution's real-time voice pipeline, which stitches together multiple speech and reasoning models to produce human-like interactions across dozens of languages. A Zero Data Retention (ZDR) configuration ensures that all data processed is handled in-memory only. The company has expanded to a full Google Cloud deployment, leveraging Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to manage its operations.

Wonderful is also developing AI agents that can handle a wider range of enterprise functions, such as insurance claims, price requests, summarizing policy documents, and updating internal systems. "We use Gemini for what we call 'AI as a judge'—it reviews conversations and helps improve prompts—and for complex retrieval and reasoning tasks," Winkler explains. "If a customer asks, 'Am I covered for X?,' the agent might need to search across five different policies. Gemini handles that incredibly well."

Looking to the future with global expansion and multimodal innovation

What makes our partnership special is that it goes beyond infrastructure. The Google Cloud team supports us not only technically but also in driving adoption of AI in the enterprise in markets around the world.

In just under a year, Wonderful has grown to almost 200 employees and expects to exceed 900 by the end of this year. The company is scaling through full-stack local teams in sites across Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and APAC, with plans to operate in more than 30 markets worldwide. This rapid expansion reflects increasing enterprise demand for locally adapted AI agents and the company's commitment to combining global reach with on-the-ground expertise. "Our customers' needs brought us into new use cases, such as sales, logistics, even internal workflows. We've built the platform to be flexible enough to handle almost any agentic task an enterprise can imagine," Winkler says.

The Wonderful team plans to expand their use of Gemini to power new multimodal features that combine voice, text, and structured data.

By leveraging Gemini Live, they will also be able to support additional languages, and remove the complexity of managing separate components.

As it scales, Wonderful is also deepening its collaboration with Google Cloud by aligning regional go-to-market strategies, with the aim of expanding through the Google Cloud Marketplace.

"I genuinely believe there's a great shared opportunity between Google Cloud and Wonderful: because of the technology, because of Gemini, and because of how we both go to market," Winkler shares. "What makes our partnership special is that it goes beyond infrastructure. The Google Cloud team supports us not only technically but also in driving adoption of AI in the enterprise in markets around the world."

Wonderful uses Gemini and Vertex AI to overcome the global AI language gap, helping large local enterprises automate customer and business interactions across languages and regions.
