The new architecture leverages a powerful combination of Google Cloud and Elastic technologies. Automated load balancing scales up and down to maintain peak performance while minimizing costs, while Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and other Google Cloud infrastructure tools power efficient infrastructure. Through Vertex AI, Sightly also accesses machine learning models that help to take data ingested from vendors and enrich it with proprietary data feeds.
Dataflow plays a critical role in the Elastic ingest process. Sightly runs Dataflow jobs continuously, processing massive amounts of data every day. It efficiently transforms and feeds millions of documents from news and social data feeds into Elasticsearch, delivering a fast, scalable search experience.
