Helps adopt more efficient ways of working

“Today, we continue to fulfill our mission by helping more than 3,000 of our clients. It’s the continuous improvement mindset towards our clients’ needs and our own internal processes that drives every member of our organization.”

Vrinda Khurjekar, Client Successes and Strategic Alliances Director, Searce

Searce’s story began in 2004 with a simple mission: to help its clients identify better ways of doing things. “Today, we continue to fulfill our mission by helping more than 3,000 of our clients. It’s the continuous improvement mindset towards our clients’ needs and our own internal processes that drives every member of our organization,” says Vrinda Khurjekar, Client Successes and Strategic Alliances Director at Searce. With the internal ethos of continuously trying new age technology solutions to solve real world business problems, it’s no surprise that Searce was among the first few companies to adopt G Suite internally and build its products on App Engine when platform as a service was still in its infancy back in 2007.

Since the launch of its partnership with Google Cloud more than 10 years ago, Searce has been enabling digital innovation by leveraging the entire portfolio of Google Cloud solutions. Searce specializes in infrastructure, data and application modernization, and also has a strong legacy of building repeatable services and product solutions to automate processes.

Continuously scaling its Google Cloud business across various product portfolios such as Google Cloud, G Suite, Google Maps Platform, Apigee, and Chrome Enterprise, Searce has been a key partner alongside Google Cloud in its journey across APAC and sees its role as helping to stitch together the right solution, leveraging various technologies out there, and making it consumable for clients. “If we’re just asking prospects to buy G Suite, they don’t need us, they can very well buy it themselves,” says Vrinda. “But if we can help digitize their entire interviewing process (leveraging Forms, Sheets, Docs, and Sites), or launch their next product marketing campaign (through Sites, Sheets, Drive, Meet, and custom scripts), now we are really solving problems for them. That’s the value we continue to strive to bring.”

In an industry that’s constantly churning out updated technology, revamping its go-to market strategies, and shifting priorities, Searce has been able to maintain consistency through its decade-long focus on building the right foundations. These include gathering deep domain expertise and continuing to deliver business value through unique services and technology solutions. "We watched Google Cloud as it brought in G Suite, witnessed Google Cloud transform into a favorite go-to cloud for digital natives, and most recently, we’ve seen it pivot into the enterprise market with specialisms across verticals,” says Vrinda. Searce believes that as a partner, what has helped it adapt to these changes and continue to run in tandem with Google Cloud teams is the ability to stay close to its clients’ needs and to continuously build strong technical capabilities across various product portfolios.

So, what are some of the pillars that define Searce’s cloud consulting partnership with Google Cloud? Three major approaches that have helped Searce scale are: meeting clients where they are, investing in repeatable solutions, and taking a “One Google” approach to drive transformation.

“Our tailored packages help clients to get started with Google Cloud, pilot critical workloads, and then migrate over to G Suite or Google Cloud. Once successfully migrated, our ongoing 24/7 Support, Managed Services, and Application Engineering services help our clients continue to get the best out of Google Cloud.”

Ranjith Kuppala, CTO, Searce

Meeting clients where they are

With a client base of more than 3,000 clients, Searce has a good mix of small- to medium-sized businesses, fast-growing digital natives, and large traditional enterprises. According to Ranjith Kuppala, CTO at Searce, each segment has its own needs and there is no one-size-fits-all. “If you recommend a two-week discovery workshop to a startup when what it really wants is immediate action, you have completely missed the point,” he says. “Alternatively, if you don’t prove the product capability through a strong technical proof of concept, or misalign stakeholders across various departments in a large enterprise, it can stall that company’s digital transformation journey.”

With more than a decade of experience across various segments, Searce has been able to package its offerings for these segments. “Our tailored packages help clients to get started with Google Cloud, pilot critical workloads, and then migrate over to G Suite or Google Cloud. Once successfully migrated, our ongoing 24/7 Support, Managed Services, and Application Engineering services help our clients continue to get the best out of Google Cloud,” says Ranjith.

Investing in repeatable solutions

Over the past decade and a half, Searce has continually invested in building solutions that span across industries and solve specific business problems. Recognic, a document AI software product powered by Cloud Vision, works to index, organize, store, and extract intelligence from documents. Searce’s AI models sit on top of Google Cloud APIs, making them consumable for clients. The company is excited about the potential in the document AI space and has seen great results so far. “One of our clients, a large financial services firm, saw a 70% reduction in time needed to onboard new clients,” shares Vrinda. “Another client, a global logistics firm, saw a 40% reduction in the accounts payable processing times and 50% reduction in effort needed.”

Another product that Searce has launched is happierWork, a human resources automation solution that sits on top of G Suite. It takes care of the entire “hire-to-retire” process for employees. With happierWork, built using App Engine, Searce enables clients to create a customized employee engagement platform. Features such as paperless onboarding and offboarding, centralized time and attendance management, and document management allow employees to access all the workplace information they need, using a single login. Modules such as happierHire empower talent acquisition teams to seamlessly collaborate with the business on hiring requirements and manage the entire interview process centrally. “We’re excited about happierWork’s launch on the Google Cloud marketplace,” adds Vrinda. “Our strategy through 2021 is to expand the product globally and increase the adoption among Searce’s existing G Suite client base of more than 2,000 clients.”

“No organization can fully transform if they’re just driving transformation in silos. Our ability to reach across various departments and functions with relevant solutions has helped us to help our clients stay ahead of their competition.”

Vrinda Khurjekar, Client Successes and Strategic Alliances Director, Searce

The One Google approach to drive true transformation

As a Google Cloud Premier Partner across multiple offerings, Searce prefers a go-to-market strategy led by the One Google approach, where it enables its clients to transform their businesses using the full suite of Google Cloud products. “No organization can fully transform if they’re just driving transformation in silos. Our ability to reach across various departments and functions with relevant solutions has helped us to help our clients stay ahead of their competition,” says Vrinda. This could involve helping clients’ marketing teams to implement Google Analytics 360 or build a marketing data warehouse, or helping their infrastructure teams to containerize applications and institutionalize infrastructure as code using Terraform. It could also be about helping employees to experience maximum productivity and collaboration with G Suite, or supporting product teams to integrate location intelligence into their workflows with Google Maps Platform APIs. Dedicated teams for these solutions within Searce have the depth of expertise to go deeper into every use case. Clients always have a single go-to partner for all their Google Cloud-led transformation needs.

What’s next for Searce with Google Cloud

According to Vrinda, one of the main reasons why Searce and Google Cloud have had such a great run is due to their cultural similarities. When it comes to core values, she feels that both organizations have a lot in common. As Searce continues to invest in the partnership globally, she says there is excitement about the potential it holds both for Searce and Google Cloud. Searce is one of the go-to-market partners for Google Cloud across multiple regions and was awarded Google Cloud Partner of the Year four years in a row. In the next three to five years, Vrinda expects to see vigorous growth within the Google Cloud practice at Searce. As the company expands dynamically across North America, EMEA, and SEA, while continuing to grow its well-established India business, Searce is looking forward to the next phase of its partnership with Google Cloud.
