Unlocked transformative savings through control over billing and infrastructure, enabling investment in innovation

Shortened product release cycles from weeks to days, enhancing innovative dynamism
Routematic, a leading Transport-as-a-Service platform with a standardized fleet — was seeking help with consistent workload management and cost reduction. Through a comprehensive migration to Google Cloud, the company unlocked transformative savings, enhanced scalability, and accelerated speed to market.
Routematic transforms corporate commutes with its TaaS platform, offering seamless commute management, real-time tracking, and sustainable EV fleets. Founded in 2013, the firm focuses on safety, efficiency, and creating a greener future for employee transportation.
Routematic's leading-edge Employee Transportation Management System (ETMS) was originally hosted on a major cloud provider. The company was looking for a transformative solution that could provide better control and the flexibility to respond swiftly to evolving business needs.
Working with Quadrasystems, a Google Cloud partner, Routematic embarked on an ambitious migration of its entire critical infrastructure to Google Cloud. The new architecture was built around Compute Engine and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Routematic chose Google Cloud because of its pay-as-you-go model that allowed it to directly manage infrastructure and billing. This transparency provided the firm with better control over costs and spending. Routematic is also leveraging Google Cloud's Sustained Use Discounts (SUD) for consistent workloads, automatically reducing costs to provide significant savings over time.
The proactive support of Quadrasystems enabled Routematic to carry out an eight-month migration with zero downtime, critical for maintaining customer loyalty. The auto-scaling capabilities of GKE enabled Routematic to instantly scale resources up or down to ensure that services can accommodate demand spikes without compromising performance. This agility also allowed Routematic to reduce the time needed to release new features on its ETMS, from weeks on its original provider to days with Google Cloud.
"Our creative collaboration with Quadrasystems went beyond a client-vendor relationship to be a true partnership, and we were able to unlock significant savings while optimizing our cloud infrastructure," says Roopesh MP, Head of Infrastructure, Routematic. "This brought advantages ranging from enhanced app performance to reduced time to market."
