Building a resilient digital core for growth

National Foods Limited is a multicategory food company serving consumers in Pakistan and international markets. As the business grows, continuous access to core systems and trusted information across supply chain, finance, and commercial operations becomes increasingly important.

National Foods selected Google Cloud as the infrastructure foundation for its RISE with SAP S/4HANA environment. The move was designed to strengthen the resilience and scalability of the enterprise core while creating a platform that can support closer integration between SAP, commercial systems, enterprise data and future AI use cases.

Working with Google Cloud partner TMC, National Foods coordinated the migration across SAP, Google Cloud, and its internal teams. TMC supported the commercial and technical workstreams, helping align the migration approach and cutover activities with National Foods’ operational priorities.

The program was treated as more than an infrastructure transition. It formed part of a broader modernization agenda focused on dependable operations, governed data, stronger integration, and measurable business value.

True industry leadership means delivering measurable business value, not superficial technology adoption. For National Foods, Google Cloud strengthens enterprise resilience while providing a scalable foundation for connected processes, governed data, automation, and responsible AI. This foundation empowers commercial, supply chain, and functional teams with smarter tools and insights to innovate and drive growth.

Connecting the foundation to business value

With SAP on Google Cloud, National Foods has established a stronger base for integrating enterprise workflows and progressing its data agenda. Building on this foundation, Project Harmony is bringing product hierarchy and pricing management together across SAP S/4HANA and Salesflo, creating a single source of truth to improve data accuracy, operational efficiency, and business decision-making while reducing manual intervention. Through this initiative, National Foods is working toward more consistent, accessible, and governing data across key commercial processes.

In parallel, National Foods has advanced automated distributor-credit processes through integrations involving SAP, banking partners, and commercial platforms. These capabilities are intended to support faster credit availability, business continuity, and sales execution during periods of demand. The resulting business outcomes reflect the combined contribution of technology, financing structures, process redesign, business ownership, and partner execution, rather than any single platform in isolation.

National Foods is also modernizing selected development and automation practices, including disciplined source-code management, SAP testing, and robotic process automation. As adoption progresses, the company plans to measure improvements through defined operational, quality, and business-value indicators.

The next phase will build on this foundation through prioritized use cases in analytics, predictive supply chain insight, and enterprise AI. Potential capabilities using BigQuery, Gemini, and Google Workspace will be evaluated through business cases, data-readiness assessments, security controls, and measurable adoption plans.

Moving RISE with SAP to Google Cloud was more than an infrastructure decision. It strengthened the resilience of our enterprise core and created a scalable foundation for connecting business processes, governed data, and future AI capabilities.

As Mian Mudasser Farooq, Senior Director, Digital, Data and Technology, National Foods Limited, shares, “Our focus is not technology adoption for its own sake, but measurable business value.
