In practice, the consolidation in Google Cloud, largely running on GKE, quickly led to spectacular performance improvements. The implementation of our new data platform (BigQuery) in our partner portal resulted in a significant improvement in customer data access speed, with loading times decreasing substantially from 4-6 seconds to just a few milliseconds, providing a near-instantaneous user experience. At the same time, the integration of data from new acquisitions, which previously required several months, is now done in a few days.

In addition, the centralization of data in BigQuery has contributed to the optimization of internal processes. Teams can now directly access information and create their own dashboards without depending on the IT department.

"Previously, a simple modification in our data tables, such as adding a new analysis dimension for our marketers, required a full development cycle of 3 to 4 weeks," explains Glenn de Boer. "Today, thanks to Google Cloud's data architecture, these same modifications are made in a few hours, or even directly by the business teams themselves. Our developers can finally focus on high value-added projects rather than spending their time maintaining and modifying data tables."

Another major advantage, the combination of BigQuery with tools like Google Sheets and Looker Studio allows employees around the world to easily access the information they need, promoting data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
