Meeting customers where they are: Expanding enterprise reach with Google Cloud

Customer experience has become one of the last true differentiators for enterprises. But as customer journeys span more channels, data sources, and AI-powered touchpoints, organizations need better ways to understand what customers are experiencing—and where friction is preventing growth.

For Joulica, solving that challenge has been the mission from day one.

Founded by Tony McCormack, CEO and co-founder, alongside two former customer experience technology leaders, the Irish startup was built around a simple observation: enterprises had vast amounts of customer data, but very little ability to act on it in real time.

By adding native support for Google Cloud and adopting a multi-cloud strategy we meet customers where they are. As more large enterprises standardized on Google Cloud, supporting their technology choices became essential to removing barriers, expanding our market, and delivering the experience our customers expect.

“Working with some of the world’s largest organizations, we could see where customer experience was heading,” McCormack recalls. “Data, analytics, and cloud technologies were becoming strategic priorities, and we felt the market needed a new approach built specifically for that future.”

Today, Joulica helps organizations transform customer interactions into actionable insights through customer journey analytics, operational analytics, and AI-powered analytics. The company serves customers across financial services, healthcare, retail, travel, insurance, and the public sector, including multiple Fortune 50 organizations. In 2026, Gartner also recognized Joulica in its Magic Quadrant for Customer Journey Analytics.

As Joulica expanded into larger enterprise accounts, the team encountered a new challenge. Many organizations had standardized on Google Cloud and wanted technology partners that could operate within their existing cloud environments, governance frameworks, and data strategies.

Rather than asking customers to adapt to Joulica, the company chose to meet customers where they were.

By adding native support for Google Cloud and adopting a multi-cloud strategy, Joulica removed barriers to adoption, broadened its addressable market, and created new opportunities to serve enterprise customers that had already adopted Google Cloud technologies.

Turning customer interactions into
faster business insight with BigQuery

At the heart of Joulica’s platform is a real-time streaming architecture that continuously analyzes customer interactions across channels including phone calls, chat sessions, emails, and digital touchpoints.

For enterprises, the challenge is rarely a lack of data, but rather finding enough meaningful patterns quickly enough to take action. This is where Joulica finds BigQuery to play an important role.

Joulica uses BigQuery to help organizations analyze large volumes of customer journey data and uncover the moments where customers encounter friction. Instead of relying on heavily aggregated datasets, organizations can explore rich interaction data directly through website visits, mobile app interactions, contact center interactions, survey results and sentiment data, and perform complex analytical queries while still receiving results in seconds.

For example, a large financial services organization might want to understand why customers are abandoning an online application process. Using Joulica and BigQuery, teams can analyze months of customer interactions, identify where customers drop out, segment behavior by geography or demographic group, and drill into the underlying interactions to understand the root cause.

The result is 70% faster time-to-insight and faster action. By helping organizations quickly identify and remove friction from customer journeys, Joulica enables improvements in customer retention, loyalty, service quality, and revenue-generating experiences.

BigQuery allows us to analyze multiple years of raw customer interaction data and return answers in seconds. That means our customers can identify friction faster, act sooner, and continuously improve the experiences they deliver.

Building the future of agentic analytics

As enterprises invest heavily in AI agents, Joulica sees a new challenge emerging: understanding whether those investments are actually delivering value.

To address that, the company is expanding into what it calls agentic analytics.

Using the Agent Development Kit and OpenTelemetry integrations, Joulica captures and analyzes how AI agents reason through tasks, which tools they use, and what outcomes they achieve. Organizations can then monitor agent performance at scale, investigate individual interactions, and gain visibility into the business impact of their AI initiatives.

For Joulica, this represents the next evolution of customer experience analytics.

“We want to be the global leader in agentic analytics,” says McCormack. “Organizations need the same visibility into AI agents that they’ve traditionally had for customer interactions. As AI becomes part of everyday business operations, understanding performance and outcomes becomes critical.”

Google Cloud’s scalability supported Joulica’s enterprise expansion strategy and its AI roadmap, thus Joulica is positioning itself to help organizations better understand not only their customers, but increasingly their AI-powered ecosystem as well.

By combining the Agent Development Kit with OpenTelemetry, we’re able to capture the full journey of an AI agent—from how it reasons through a task to the outcome it delivers. That visibility gives organizations the insights they need to understand, optimize, and build trust in their AI investments.

Looking ahead, Joulica plans to continue expanding its customer journey and agentic analytics capabilities while helping more enterprises unlock value from their data. And just as Joulica helps organizations remove friction from customer experience, the company has found in Google Cloud the ability to remove friction from its own growth journey.

“At Joulica, we help organizations understand their customers better to deliver better experiences,” McCormack explains. “Google Cloud is enabling us to achieve the same goal as a company—expanding our reach, meeting customers where they are, and creating a better experience for the enterprises we serve today and in the future.”

Joulica helps enterprises improve customer experiences with real-time analytics that reveal customer journeys, uncover friction, and turn interaction data into actionable insights.
