Founded by former Google and YouTube leaders, AI-native scale-up ALPHAWAVE helps organizations accelerate growth by integrating AI into operations, marketing, and products. Using Google Cloud infrastructure, like Veo and Vertex AI, ALPHAWAVE leverages early beta access and deep product partnerships to maintain a competitive advantage.

Shaping the future of performance marketing

ALPHAWAVE traces its origins to early 2023, when Omid Yazdanpanah and Matthijs Schellekens began shaping the initial thesis for a new class of AI-enabled performance marketing tools. Drawing on years of experience across YouTube, Google Ads, and advanced AI product development, they laid the foundation for what would become the ALPHAWAVE platform.

As the company formally incorporated the following year, Omid stepped into the full-time CEO role and expanded the leadership team with David Neri (CCO) and Jason Wu to drive commercial scale. Today, ALPHAWAVE builds AI-driven video tools and proprietary agent technology that help brands and agencies adopt AI workflows quickly and meaningfully.

ALPHAWAVE emerged with a bold ambition: “trying to ride the wave of AI and help people become AI-native”, notes David Neri, Chief Commercial Officer. “We wanted to build a company that empowers teams to scale faster, understand AI’s potential, and integrate it meaningfully.” Therefore, ALPHAWAVE provides AI-driven video content (using Veo and Flow) specifically for platforms like YouTube and Google Ads. It also builds proprietary AI agents and conducts AI maturity assessments. The scale-up is now a team of 30 people, specializing in leveraging all the various platforms (Google Cloud, YouTube, and others). The scale-up has a presence in New York and works with a vast network of global brands, including many leading S&P 500 businesses.

Supercharging creative process with Google Cloud AI

The decision to build ALPHAWAVE solutions entirely on Google Cloud was strategic and immediate. The founders' history at Google provided confidence in the platform’s quality. David Neri confirms: “We know the company, we worked there, we loved it there.” This strong partnership was key to solving the company’s biggest technical and business challenge: rapidly scaling generative AI solutions with a small team while guaranteeing the highest quality and realism.

We were one of the first 20 companies in EMEA who were able to use Veo 1 and then Veo 2 in beta.

ALPHAWAVE’s mastery of Google’s Veo and Flow is a major differentiator. Often among the first to access beta tools, the team quickly found that Google’s tools delivered unmatched quality. “On Veo3 and Flow, we can create a 90-second video that looks like it was filmed by a professional crew. It’s fast, high quality, and affordable,” explains Neri. When the team ran tests to generate videos of a car driving through Amsterdam, he recalled that only Veo "really brought the hyper realism to life,” making it look exactly like "a car advert that you might see on television. ALPHAWAVE team used these tools not only to produce brand campaigns but also internal training and awareness content.

Beyond video, the company develops proprietary AI agents built on Google Cloud infrastructure and Vertex AI. These agents automate repetitive browser-based tasks like reporting and format scaling, which allows employees to perform more "thinking work" and less tedious implementation.

Real-world impact: From cybercrime awareness to content at scale

ALPHAWAVE’s client portfolio reflects the diversity of sectors now turning to AI. One compelling example is its work with Europol’s cybercrime prevention unit, known internally as InterCop. The company helped design a continentwide awareness campaign built entirely within the Google ecosystem. “We’re measuring both engagement and real-world behavioral change,” notes Neri. “Our academic partners are even tracking whether searches for illegal DDoS tools decrease during the campaign.”

Another success story is their collaboration with Philips Home Appliances, who traditionally relied on CGI to produce high-end product videos—a process that was costly, time-consuming, and not scalable for their extensive product portfolio. AlphaWave partnered with Philips to implement Google’s Veo, enabling them to generate photorealistic product videos using AI. This significantly reduced production time, accelerated localization, and made video creation scalable across multiple product lines and markets, at a fraction of the original cost.

Thanks to our partnership with Google Cloud, we are forecasting a boom year for 2026.

Through these cases, ALPHAWAVE demonstrated how creative AI can deliver both artistic and quantifiable commercial impact. More generally, the scale-up helps clients to make deeper connections with their customers, drive market leadership, reduce operational costs by up to 80% and achieve an average +25% increase in ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).

Next steps: Driving innovation through deep partnership

The core competitive advantage for ALPHAWAVE remains its dynamic partnership with Google Cloud. The company provides feedback from the market to the Google product teams, and Google trades back by giving them access to new tools. This unique collaboration allows the company to stay ahead of the curve by continuously utilizing the latest versions of tools. Looking ahead, ALPHAWAVE is preparing for a major expansion, fueled by a market that is finally ready to adopt AI at scale. Believing that businesses cannot effectively operate without leveraging AI, the scale-up is forecasting a “boom year for 2026”. The scale-up plans to deepen its integration by becoming an official Cloud partner or reseller to help clients transition fully to Google Cloud. The final vision for ALPHAWAVE is to push the boundaries of agentic solutions and creative production, constantly challenging the traditional marketing paradigm. Imagination is the only limit.
