Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), with its robust features and flexible networking capabilities, powers the organization's frontend applications – crucial for handling its diverse customer setups and subscription models.
On the data side, BigQuery serves as the central data platform, handling everything from backend data management to analytics and ETL processes, while also powering ADE's dashboards in Looker Studio. For AI/ML workload, it uses Vertex AI for team development in Workbench and running ML jobs. Google Cloud's streamlined provisioning and extensive resources have enabled ADE to conduct technical experiments with minimal setup overhead. For example, the organization could run concurrent implementations using MERN, Django, and FARM stacks, allowing its teams to evaluate the best fit through practical application. This also helped ADE standardize on the FARM stack for new developments, while maintaining a measured approach to migrating existing applications. The platform's flexibility enabled ADE to gradually streamline its applications to the FARM stack without disrupting development cycles.
