If you have a contact in the Google Cloud team, please also inform them about the cancellation.\n\nIf you don't use an invoiced Cloud Billing account, then you close your\nCloud Customer Care account based on the service you purchased: \n\n### Premium\n\nTo cancel Premium Support, [contact sales](http://cloud.google.com/contact).\n\n### Standard or Enhanced\n\nYou can cancel Standard or Enhanced Support directly from the Google Cloud console\nat any time. As always, any role can continue to use free Cloud Billing support and\nself-help resources.\n\nDelete Google Cloud resources\n-----------------------------\n\nThis section describes deleting or closing Google Cloud resources such as\nprojects and Cloud Billing accounts.\n\nTo close your Cloud Billing account, see [Cancel a Cloud Billing account](#cancel_google_cloud).\n\n### Delete a project\n\nBy deleting a project, you can stop all billing and shut down any Google Cloud projects\nwithin the project.\n| **Note:** Before closing your projects, you should backup any data or applications that you want to retain. After you have successfully protected your data, you can proceed with deleting the project.\n\nAs a project owner, you can follow the steps in\n[Creating and managing projects](/resource-manager/docs/creating-managing-projects)\nto delete your projects. All project data associated with Google Cloud and Google APIs services\nbecomes inaccessible.\n\nIf you want to be removed from a project, contact your project administrator and\nask them to revoke your permissions for the project.\n\n### Close a Cloud Billing account\n\nClosing an active Cloud Billing account stops all billable services.\nTo close a Cloud Billing account, follow the steps in\n[Close a Cloud Billing account](/billing/docs/how-to/manage-billing-account#close_a_billing_account). After you close your Cloud Billing account,\nyou will be billed for the usage you accrued prior to cancelling your service.\nThis bill will be the last bill you receive, unless you [reopen the\nCloud Billing account](/billing/docs/how-to/manage-billing-account#reopen_a_closed_billing_account).\n| **Note:** Because of accounting and regulatory reasons, Cloud Billing accounts cannot be deleted.\n\n### Cancel a Google Cloud account\n\nIf you signed up for Google Cloud using your Google user account\n(Google Account), then\nyour Cloud Billing account is the same as your Google Account.
