JIIMA

In 2021 the Japanese government instituted revisions of the Electronic Records Retention Law to promote the use of digital record keeping and remove the requirement for hard copies of transaction records. These changes came into effect in January 2022.

JIIMA (Japan Image and Information Management Association) is an industry association which has created a certification for software which complies with the new legal requirements and can be used for maintaining such digital records.  

JIIMA has certified Google Workspace as compliant with this certification and it can be used for digital record keeping.  For more information you can visit JIIMA’s website and view the certification.
