There is a big difference in the environmental impact of burning coal versus moving turbines with the wind.

The electricity we use is all the same once it hits the grid.

You can’t pick and choose which electrons you get.

You can track renewable energy produced with renewable energy certificates or RECs.

This is one of the ways you know the energy used is matched with renewable energy that has been produced.
