Enable Google Private Marketplace

Once Google Private Marketplace is enabled, Google Private Marketplace is the default marketplace experience for your users. Google Private Marketplace shows all products available to your users based on the collections shared with them. The public version of Google Cloud Marketplace is still available. If a user has no collection shared with them, they have an empty marketplace until they navigate to the public marketplace.

Before you begin

Enable Google Private Marketplace

  1. In Cloud Marketplace, click Marketplace Governance.

    Go to Marketplace

  2. Under Private Marketplace, click the toggle to enable Private Marketplace.

Google Private Marketplace is now the default marketplace experience.

Disable Google Private Marketplace

You can disable Google Private Marketplace manually on the Marketplace Governance page or by deleting all collections from Google Private Marketplace.

To disable Google Private Marketplace manually:

  1. In Cloud Marketplace, click Marketplace Governance.
  2. Click Governance settings.
  3. Under Private Marketplace, click the toggle to turn off Private Marketplace.

Google Private Marketplace is no longer available to your users, and users can no longer access collections. If you have a collection in your Google Private Marketplace, you can re-enable Google Private Marketplace at any time.

If you still have collections in your Google Private Marketplace that you've turned off, the collections are still available to Organization and Collection Administrators, but aren't visible to users the collections are shared with.
